  1. I hope so. I was counting on enjoying the beautiful LTE on the N5. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk 2
  2. Next couple of weeks? I highly doubt it. In order for the G2 or N5 to receive LTE, all Samsung equipment in this area will have to be upgraded to support the new 3g NV(if they haven't been upgraded yet) . Without the upgrade, the phone will fall back to 3g only. It's due to the lack of CSFB(circuit switched fallback). As you stated, Roberts article is a great place to start if anyone is interested in the importance of this and the future of Sprint/tri-band devices. Basically, tri-band devices don't support SVLTE(Simultaneous voice and LTE) because the phone(s) only have one radio unlike previous devices(S4/Note 2/etc). Unfortunately, as ericwalton stated above, this area uses Samsung equipment and thus we are in a non incumbent market. The good news is Trenton /Tonya trial towers currently provide upgraded 3g/LTE and work flawlessly with the G2/N5/Galaxy Mega. Tri-county unfortunately doesn't have upgraded 3g yet. From what I've read, there's a high probably that when Sprint launches LTE on the west side of Hamilton, it will also bring upgraded 3g. Thus the new tri-band devices will work. On a side note, in comparison to the S4, the N5 has a better LTE radio from my experience. It's likely the G2 will perform just as well. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk 2
  3. Have the 3g towers in Hamilton been upgraded yet? Or are we still on old equipment? Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  4. The documents stating exactly what was happening with the N5/G2s was a hell of a find. That pretty much explains it. Sprint lets me down again. Wimax and now this? Enough is enough.
  5. If the NV upgrades are to blame then why do some users report LTE spontaneously flipping on after 2-3 days of owning the phone? Mine was one that did it. All towers in my area use Samsung equipment. LTE spontaneously started working for me after 3days. LTE has been live in my area for weeks and I had no issues with the GN3. I still think we're missing something. The towers in my area didn't magically get an NV upgrade over night.
  6. Can anyone comment on who the manufacturer is of the equipment on the Trenton tower versus Tonya trail? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk 2
  7. For the past 7-10 days I've been getting 4g on Millville Ave in Hamilton (I did a few speedtests that are on sensorly also). Seems to be the Trenton tower. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk 2
  8. Any idea how long the new antennas have been installed on the Wasserman road tower? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk 2
  9. Any new updates? Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
  10. Very good question... How'd you get the G2? It hasn't officially launched has it?.. Or are you on a different carrier? Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  11. I uploaded quite a few speedtests and map data to sensorly in the areas of New Miami and Trenton this evening. Coverage is spotty towards the lower half of New Miami. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  12. Life at Sprint Speed on The Now Network! Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
  13. Speedtest in Trenton. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
  14. Anyone else have confirmation that the New Miami tower is live? Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  15. The signal strength in close proximity to the New Miami tower isn't as strong as it should be. It must not be live yet. That would explain my poor speeds in that area.(3mb/0.8mb) Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
