  1. Definitely wait. You have to constantly remind yourself that you'll be stuck with this phone for the next 22 months. That makes it critically important to select a phone that is not going to see its eol or end of life while you're still contract. For example, I bought the evo 4g the first week of launch. Now my upgrade is due April 1st. Can you imagine the pain I'd feel if I bought that phone just six month later? I feel sorry for those people. Don't make that same mistake.
  2. Jumping up to Seattle was a surprise... But it makes sense they'd go for population over proximity. It's interesting the same preference wasn't given to Detroit though.
  3. Thread on the subject started: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/358-sprint-ceo-at-mwc-sprint-touts-the-value-of-a-green-approach/
  4. So, what do you think about Sprint's opportunity to make a big announcement?? Source: http://www.mobilebusinessbriefing.com/articles/sprint-touts-the-value-of-a-green-approach/22732
  5. This is the only mention I could find: http://www.mobilebusinessbriefing.com/articles/sprint-touts-the-value-of-a-green-approach/22732 I guess it's understandable why we haven't heard much about it... definitely not much to write home about. lol
  6. I'm wondering why Sprint even released this. Isn't the same true for a lot of other markets. I know in the DC metro area there is a slew of upgrades shown at sprint.com/network. They should at least wait the 90 days so they can celebrate its completion.
  7. Sweet. Tricky on mobile but with your help I've got it. Thank you for the comprehensive explanation. (Assuming I quoted correctly. lol)
  8. I read the Guidelines for Posting Articles and am left unsure about quoting via the S4GRU mobile site. Can you provide a full example? How I understand the process is as follows. I've used quotations instead of brackets to avoid actually quoting. Is there anything that goes after the quoted text and before my unquoted comments? Example: -------------- "quote" or "quote name=chappo2000" This is where I'd have whatever I was quoting. This is where I'd comment on whatever I quoted. ---------------- Thank you for any guidance.
  9. I think Sprint has a significant PR problem at the moment. Essentially if you're eligible for an upgrade right now you're forced to wait with no timetable. Some light has got to be shed on Sprint's offerings for the summer. I understand the conventional wisdom is to wait for CTIA, and I'm sure all those questions will be answered by then. But I think Sprint understands they have to give us something to keep us going till CTIA. It's March now and it's about time to show us the light at the end of the tunnel.
  10. Oops. Given that I amend my prediction to Detroit and Sacramento. I should have consulted: http://s4gru.forumflash.com/uploads/gallery/album_5/gallery_1_5_64815.gif before my initial prediction. I'll stay tuned.
  11. Based off the "geographic proximity theory," my predictions for the next two Sammy sites are Detroit and Portland. Of course it depends highly on their direction of travel. Green Bay, Pittsburgh, and Reno are honorable mentions. Lets see tomorrow if I'm anywhere close. lol
  12. I'll be flying to ATL mid March to visit family. They live near Macon which I assume is another market but I'll pay attention to data speeds and cell service while in the city.
  13. Exciting news! Especially the thought of it being called the "Evo LTE." Sure, it's only a name, you can name it anything you want. But the Evo has been such a staple for Sprint's Android lineup - why change a good thing, right? Source: http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/02/29/rumor-is-sprint-getting-its-own-variant-of-the-htc-one-x-or-something-eerily-similar/ (Well, where I got it anyway. The original source is referenced.)
  14. This continues to follow my theory of rolling out markets geographically close to markets already announced by Sprint/S4GRU. Boston-NYC, Baltimore-DC, and now SFO-Palo Alto. Do you think there is any credence in that theory? Makes sense to me.
  15. I had the same question about a DC market map. I'll stay tuned. I think it's interesting the AL cities seem paired by geographical area. When Boston is done NYC is close and when Baltimore is done DC is close. Seems like an efficient way to manage the crews and resources necessary for such an undertaking.
  16. I am curious if he has been always scheduled to talk or if this is a last minute addition based on the customer disappointment with no Sprint-related news from HTC and LG.
  17. With the evo being a name exclusive to sprint and the HTC One only confirmed going to tmo and ATT, I too think mourning the death of the evo name is premature. I'm fairly optimistic about the news. It basically assures HTC's next offering to sprint will meet or exceed what's already announced. If only they released a timetable... this wait is going to make some jump ship. I too hope it ends up having a sd slot, removable battery, preferably a 3000mah+ battery, and a tri band lte radio. That would make the wait worth it.
  18. Works great. What do others think about a forum section to discuss coverage by city/market?
