  1. Thanks for the information. I guess I didn't make it real clear. Cincy shows on the official Sprint map as having Sprint Spark currently available. However, the Dayton markey is not included in the map as having Sprint Spark enabled. Will they continue to build out the entire Cincy market or are they only building out the Cincy metro area?
  2. Since the Cincy market has been indicated to be a Sprint Spark market, is there any chance that the Dayton area will be getting Spark soon or is that a lost cause? I know that it is not as large a city as Cincy, but metrics indicate Dayton is in the top 50 wireless markets in the country. I know they wanted to roll it out to the top 100 markets, but I am hoping since the Dayton area is considered a part of the Cincy market they spread the love up this way.
  3. I'm going to be relocating from the Columbus area to the Dayton area, specifically Englewood and I can assist in gathering data to help build a map for the Dayton/Cincy Market. I won't be in Cincy much, but we should still be able to get some useful information.
  4. Just picked up LTE on Dublin Granville Road in a heavily secured concrete building (near armory), but it was brief. Will check again when I get outside. The serving cell ID was 390 Band 25.
  5. Coz, maybe I missed it, but what is the signifigance of the * and STOP sign in the 3g update flags in the map you have posted?
  6. Has Sprint released a prl for the Note II to pick up 800 yet?
  7. The last three mornings I've hit over 500 points in Sensorly on LTE as I drive to and from my sons babysitter in Grove City. I've been shocked at the range of that tower considering it sits right on the outward east boundary of Grove City
  8. I can't get sensorly to show 4G on my map. I only get the option for 2g and 3g. Are you using the app or website?
  9. On the first screen shot I am west of the tower on Hoover Road near Stringtown. The second screen shot I am north of the tower on Dyer Road near Jackson Pike.
  10. Looks like a couple of towers on this end may have went active with LTE.
  11. Just had the pleasure of being awaken by my phone buzzing and I thought it was text, but it was an alert I was picking up LTE in the house. Talk about a pleasant surprise. I wonder if sprint is conducting testing or tuning that triggered the pickup. Not everywhere in the house, but it's a pleasant surprise because I didn't get WiMax coverage in the house on my old Evo
  12. Just picked up some LTE love leaving Grove City on Jackson Pike. It's a good sign. Speeds weren't great, but it at least shows work in progress. Can thenight84 confirm LTE being lit up in Grove City. Not sure which tower us serving it up. Why doesn't Sensorly map 4g on the Note 2? It shows you hitting points but doesn't actively map them.
  13. 2467 Jackson Pike, Columbus 3756 Hoover Road, Grove City 3778-3914 Highway 104, Grove City These towers don't show up on any of the in progress threads or on the permit treads, but they all have new cabinets and I am able to pull 1-2 Mbs down consistently on them. Why aren't they showing up anywhere? The fact the speeds have improved so much is a good indication that work is being done. New cabinets, new panels, but no new fiber runs. Any ideas?
  14. All three currently have the new base stations and panels up. I don't think they have the back haul ran for the fiber. Are these just set for 3g or are they going to get LTE soon? I can get you pictures if that would help you determine where they may be in the process.
  15. Can you advise if there is anything for the following 3 towers: 2467 Jackson Pike, Columbus 3756 Hoover Road, Grove City 3778-3914 Highway 104, Grove City
  16. Man this thread has blown up over the past couple of days. Wow, LTE is being activated. Maybe the guy who said his source indicated we would see a bunch of sites come online at the end of June was on to something. Great news for the Columbus Market.
  17. If you check Google Earth, some of these sites have had new cabinets for more than 4 months. Just an observation. Doesn't remove the relevance of the question. Working in the technology industry, when I request a build out from a local Felco it generally occurs within 2 weeks. As a long term Sprint customer, I'm tired of hearing the excuses for why there is always a delay in upgrading the network. First itwas the epic fail of WiMax and now it's the slow rollout of LTE. Oh, don't make another excuse for Sprint. They are the one's who set expectations high with the number of people who would have coverage by the end of 2013 only to have to pull back and blame it on over ambition. I'm glad the Columbus market is seeing build outs in preparation of NV, especially considering they aren't on any official list Sprint has put out. It doesn't change the fact that as a consumer I have doubts about Sprint being able to execute their plans when they have a track record of failure in their recent past.
  18. What is the delay on getting back haul done in the Columbus market? I've been to several towers in Grove City and they all seem to have the new base stations, they have new panels up, but no back haul. Will this Softbank deal give them the financial capital they need to get the ball rolling?
  19. Hey these are a couple pics I took with my phone. Maybe not the best quality, but it's the tower on Hoover Road in Grove City. It's at the skate park. It looks like the back haul has not been completed.
  20. A while back someone mentioned that South Columbus would see more sites light up at the end of the month. Any more information on those? Where do we need to have these pictures posted so that we can have the map updated to include these sites as in progress? I've verified the pics on both these sites, but they aren't included on the NV in progress thread. https://www.dropbox....e6SYAJuu/Towers
  21. How can we get that site added to in progress thread. I can't find the permit for it either.
  22. The tower on 104 is the one that I'm on at home. Can anyone tell by looking at his Dropbox photos if those two smaller cabinets are the new ones for NV? I'm hoping so cause service sucks over here.
  23. Can someone tell me what is going on in Grove City. I used to be able to stream Pandora (high quality) and other music services without any blips or pauses. The last 2-3 days, its been real jumpy long pauses 2-3 minutes etc. Your assistance is appreciated.
  24. It seems that DISH has no real means of making the proposed aquisition, but rather intends to complicate the aquisition of Clear for Sprint, thus hoping to push Clear closer to bankruptcy so that they can competively bid on Clear's spectrum holdings. The real win for Sprint comes June 12th when the vote to approve the SoftBank deal should be completed. That would close July 1 and allow them to accelerate the buildout of NV, which hopefully means Columbus would be completed faster (probably wishful thinking). With the letter sent by Dan Hesse to Clear specifying why the DISH proposal holds no traction, hopefully Clear will go ahead and accept Sprint's latest offer so that they can incorporate that Spectrum into their NV plans. Clear's spectrum holdings could potentially ensure that Sprint has the fastest, most robust network in the industry.
  25. I've been dropping calls every time I travel down 161 near Godown. Any information on what is going on in that are. A couple other areas around town I'm having the same trouble, but I travel that way several days a week.
