  1. At least not recently. I think I might have seen this a year ago. Not Sure.
  2. I see everything correct. The two ARFCN's you mentioned earlier and they idenitify as n-41. using 4.832b SCP. Only using one TM SIM.
  3. That is exaclty the same as my two n-41 arfcn's.The only difference I have is that I have a 100 and a 90 bandwidth. I am in the old Shentel area in Pennsylvania. I stilll have a S-22.
  4. Strange. I got it within a half hour after Mike posted here that it was available.
  5. Looks like it probably will get 2X UPLOAD carrier aggregation soon. Not sure if older models will. I have not seen any statements suggesting they will or will not. In my area, the upload is struggling on some sites.
  6. IF there is a good side to this update issue, MAYBE TM does actually really heavily test the updates to prove that we do not download something that would negatively mess with our service. TM could have some feeature that might get killed or wrongly modified and this might not give the other providers an issue. For instance -- We at TM can aggregate n25, n71, n41 in almost any combination. Would we not scream if an update somehow broke or severly limited that agregation? I think we all would be screaming. While the other providers may not have an issue with those 3 bands aggregating. I would sooner wait for a trouble free update than have a quickie update that messes up my service.
  7. Yes, It hurts that we have to wait for T-Mobile to check and release the latest. HOWEVER, I NEVER download new software to a phone or anything else on the first few days. New software has bugs almost every time. Some very minor and occasionally a very nasty bug. It can be very wise to check and recheck the software. You may be seeing an issue this time that T-Mobile has already found and trying to get Samsung to fix BEFORE a total release to us. If the 14 release does have a issue that might severely downgrade T-Mobiles service, they surely might want to withhold the release until the issue is patched. If you owned T-Mobile, would you want to give Samsung a blank check to possibly accidentally terrorize your cell network???
  8. He who has all the money can make the rules.
  9. Power down completely, not just a software restart. Then power up and see how it goes. Talking from years of experience with this kind of stuff. New software can give some crazy issues until you power off and do a total restart. Should not be that way, but crap happens.
  10. Yep, It could have been accidental or maybe the T-Mobile executives were very smart. Either way, they used very low interest money and now DISH will need to use very high interest money if it is even available at all. Somebody might step up and give DISH some help, but you can bet there will be strings attached to any loan or merger. DISH is not really in any Drivers seat.
  11. Charlie needs more money. If I were a contractor, I would want paid before I hauled any antennas/radios to the top of a tower. If I were an investor, I would look elsewhere to ensure I received a good return on my money and would eventually get it all back. If I were a business wanting service for multiple locations and many employees, I would look elsewhere for a provider that will be around for years and covers the entire county, not just pockets here and there. If I were T-Mobile, I would be carefully watching the incoming payments for roaming. If I were a DISH employee, I would be worried about my job and paycheck. If I were a back-haul provider, I would worry that the expense of setting up back-haul would never be recovered. If I was leasing out space on a cell site tower, I would be worried that the income might suddenly stop. If I were a provider of RAN equipment & software, I would worry about ever recovering all the funds already due and expected in the future. I am none of the above, But I surely am not going to allow DISH to handle my cell service.
  12. I agree with you totally. We might be in about the same situation. I really fear the day that I am no longer around and my wife has to deal with this. The bill may go unpaid, and if she happens to venture into a TM store, they will twist her brain into mush. If she tries to remove me from the plan since I am deceased, it will get nasty. She would only need a minimal plan, but they will try to place her on some super gee whiz high priced plan. They will tell her she needs a $1000 new phone, etc. Yes, I warned her, but her memory is bad like most elderly people. I just know it will get bad. I did give her authorization to manage the account so she will not be hit with a roadblock on that. I hesitated on giving her full authorization on the account because I can see her receiving a phone call today with somebody on the other end making a suggestion about a plan change or something like that. I am afraid she might say ok to something when some slick operator on the other end twists her mind. I have repeatedly warned her about scams that may come by phone, text or e-mail and to NOT ever respond quickly. Always show me what is happening. It is a problem for sure and T-Mobile is one of the bigger problems.
  13. I just downloaded the October update to my TM S22. I notice two things. I am having some drops from the TM network and then it takes a minute or even more for a reconnect. I have seen some better upload speeds and I have my hopes up that this may be some new carrier aggregation on the upload side. Hard to prove as it is not consistent. Sometimes horrible upload (1 or 2 Mbps) and sometimes up to 7 Mpbs. I have not figured out how to determine if aggregation is involved on the upload. On the download, I have either n71 or n25 as the PCC all the time as I am somewhat distant from any n41. Usually n41 is the second SCC at a -120 level. Any increased upload is probably not coming from n41. We only have 40 Mhz of n41. Anybody else seeing what I see?
  14. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/dish-gets-us-help-easing-135432626.html Anti-Trust regulators supposedly are asking judge to give DISH more time to buy the 800 spectrum from T-Mobile.
  15. I am not so positive that T_Mobile can not activate the spectrum. I have a TM site about 10 miles away from me and I can drive right up to the fence. It was upgraded a year ago and has the normal new antenna configuration. I have not been near the site for a month, but it was broadcasting b26 along with the standard TM bands. I am not sure how or why this is occurring, but it is. There has been a couple more sites found with b26 too. If I were TM, I might activate b26 LTE while transferring many of their other bands from LTE to NR. Use band 26 in that manner for years until LTE dies. Killing b71 in many areas to use the spectrum for n71 really has hurt TM. Users that lived or worked in fringe areas lost b71 but did not gain n71.
  16. I would think it is in everybody's best interest to to keep this spectrum in the hands of a major current cell phone provider. That way, the spectrum can be used all over the country and not at a spot here and there for a power company or similar. Several of the current providers could probably activate this spectrum fairly quickly.
  17. Now the next question - will the n66 aggregate with anything?? Like n25 or n41 or n71? You might have to have some data running and be OFF Wi-Fi while you enter the 0011 menu to see it. My n25 will aggregate in almost any combination with the other nr bands. Will the n66 do it? I even see a 15 x15 n25 aggregate with a n41 channel and another 10 x 10 n25 channel. I am in Central Pennsylvania in the old Shentel area with a S-22.
  18. You tried different cables, but did you try a different charger? Try connecting in a vehicle too. Try wireless charging if you can. Try leaving it go 100% dead and then charge it. It could be a bad battery but try all of the above if you have not already.
  19. Mike, i sent you a screen shot of my S22 not displaying the band or site note or the neighbor list as I see on your example.
  20. n25 should aggregate with n41 and n71. I see it aggregate in any order. Sometimes n41, sometimes n25 and sometimes n71 as the PCC. I am in Pennsylvania.
  21. The one I have close to home is a Sprint keep site that was stripped and has new TM equipment installed. It is broadcasting the standard TM bands and also band 26. Located in Upton, Pa. Low population around the site. It makes no sense to me. All the nearby sites are fully upgraded with TM equipment and in service.
  22. Are you hitting band 26 on these sites? For some reason, T-Mobile is keeping band 26 alive on just a few sites. Maybe to keep the license active???? I have seen 26 totally alive on a few updated sites.
  23. Yep, Just downloaded on my TM S22 too. I already had added the modification to allow n25 and other bands. That is still intact. The n25 in my area is very incomplete yet. Until it is complete, you probably are not missing much. Yes, I did the mod to see what was here. n25 may be great somewhere, but not here and probably not a bunch of other places either. But bring it on. Once it is competed, things should greatly improve. One thing I see here and do not fully understand. My phone will idle on n25 and n41 will be the SCC. But as soon as any real data flows, this flips and n41 becomes the PCC and n25 becomes the SCC. I am not sure why and is this intended to work this way? I do not see 25 +41 +41. Only 25 + 41. This may be because of the mod allowed the n25 but maybe not 3 channel aggregation. This may vary in another location. We do have a second n41 on the site but it does not aggregate. At least I could not make it happen. I am traveling after posting this. No fast replies from me for a few days. Running SCP and Cell Mapper on a trip.
  24. ON a s22, go to settings, apps , find signal check app, tap on battery, get 3 options. Choose unrestricted. This allows an app run in the background without any power restrictions. You might want to do it with other apps too, like GPS. I did have an issue with this setting working fine for a couple of weeks, but then reverting to optimized. However, I was having an issue with SCP and was doing some changes to it to fix the issue. It is possible that a removal of the app and a re-install reset the option to optimized. Before I found this setting, I was occasionally getting a pop-up message telling me SCP had stopped. I no longer get this "SCP Stopped" pop-up once I went to unrestricted power for SCP.
