  1. Yes I agree you need a good sensitive receiver, and about 40 miles is pushing it your right. I think I got mine back in 2010 too, and get the best one you could get at that time, but I am sure they got better ones out by now, but I still like mine and I still listen to the sub channels from time to time for a change of music.
  2. MY biggest beef with HD radio is the coverage is not like the standard FM or AM signal, its a 10th of the signal (even with the 50K WATT stations), at least with CC (Confirmed in my area with the radio stations near me). Just like TV (even though TV is set up differently) its either there or its not, so if your near a metro and driving around great, if not it cuts in and out and can be annoying. Also if the radio station engineer sets up the station right MOST stations HD wont lag, if you hear a lag they didnt set it up right with timing.
  3. There is NO LTE in Farmington, NY its GMO (even though that doesnt mean much anymore) out there and I was just out there the other day and still hold true NO LTE, hes just complaining like usual. Sprint.com's map does not show LTE, just 3G. There is only one tower that serves most of Farmington and thats right by the State Troopers. Some of Farmington gets service by the other tower up the one hill going towards Victor.
  4. This is interesting, I would like to see how well this works out for Sprint, it may work out well if they staff stores to do this. I like this idea!! (not sure how well it would do though if your not in a big city). Kinda surprised Cnet posted this, I have seen a lot from Cnet not giving Sprint good reviews on there services in the past. http://www.cnet.com/news/sprints-direct-2-you-brings-the-device-upgrade-process-to-your-home/#ftag=YHF65cbda0
  5. No its not with Net10 and Straight talk, you can pick what carrier you want to be on based on the packaging, GSM means AT&T, CDMA means vzw (also can be found on the model as C or G usually at the end). With that being said more specifically Straight Talk did used to ALSO have CDMA S (Sprint) and GSM T (T-mobile) versions too but I havent seen them in well over a year.
  6. ok thats why, lol well at least its something even though its slow
  7. Net10 is just like straight talk owned by Tracfone/American Mobli (I think thats the right spelling lol). I think its a crappy MVNO company but thats my opinon. Its not throttling probably its the way they have it set up, if I remember seeing that somewhere, I think Howardfourms. Anyways I know that info I just gave wasnt helpful but I saw this post so I thought I would say how I felt about it. Plus why dont you use your Sprint phone even though LTE may not be good? Also some of the new phones also do WIFI calling. Just a thought.
  8. I if I had to choose just between sprint and t-mobile it would be t-mobile (ONLY because of unlocked) but if there was a choice between the big 4 it would be at&t.
  9. yup lol I know what you mean they seem to say they lead in speeds
  10. yup thats the route AT&T went too last year too
  11. T-mobile has a new user generated map, its not any better, they should of kept the old one in my opinion lol
  12. We are getting new computers, so it hopefully will be better, other thing I hate is they are running off DSL (4 down and .0500 up and yes its def. .0500 they cant get it even close to 1 up I think once it got up to half a meg .500) LOL, DSL is OK but they could get better speeds if they went with someone else and it wouldnt be DSL LOL. For me DSL should be chosen if thats the only option you have (minus sat. way too expansive for the little GBs you can choose from). The place I work at they just cant get it past them that just because phones are good through the phone company doesnt mean the Internet will be too, they can keep the phones with the phone company and get a different provider for Internet but try telling that to them and the answer they would give me would be silent LOL
  13. LOL, its fine I dont mind plus I hate using it, forced to at work no other option (they wont let us download anything else, but they will soon have to now that its finally going away pretty much and will not be supported soon I think).
  14. I like the redesign too, like I said its nice to see something change, now they need to get a better coverage map, its way out dated in my opinion.
  15. I used that browser because I was on an older computer at the time, other then that I use firefox (works good for me at least)
  16. I took this today, I had some other programs running that I can not show in my task bar but this is what I see, and yes I did go to just Sprint.com and the older style does show up still.
