What kinda stuff they have you do?

They have you check on daily at a new location with wifi turned off, make 10 phone calls, send 10 texts, and the rest you can pretty much bs like playing a game. Watching a video, searching a few times on Google. Etc.  I finish the daily tasks in a few minutes every day and I'm almost at founder level since I started early June.

  2. I bought the Moto Edge+ 2023 from Project Genesis in June and they haven't charged me since the first month.  Apparently if you use their Project Genesis app and get Founder level, they give you up to 21 months of service for free.

That said, my area is lack luster coverage but the At&t roaming is nice.  Really enjoy the device.

I'll bet people will complain about those speeds because Verizon and AT&T are getting faster then that

I got this awhile back right when a new site came live.  Basically 5G for me. 😃

  4. Interesting, that's the first report I've seen thanks!! Strange part is it didn't appear to be added to the Android base code until the Android N previews, but who knows. Can you send a diagnostic report too? The "LTE-CA" display was essentially a placeholder "if" it was ever spotted in the wild. Now that I know it might show up, I'll tweak it a bit to make it more useful. Still hoping to be able to catch CA in a manner that will let me identify 2xCA/3xCA/beyond, as well as more data about the additional carriers (which bands its using, etc).. but this is better than nothing!

Sure I can grab it tomorrow when I'm back in an LTE CA area. Where can I get it? Standard logcat?

Well that's cool.. how did you do that? I had to double-check my code to see what would cause that.. it's a 'hidden' network type that I noticed was added to the Android 7.0 source code; it is hidden from typical routines, and not mentioned in the Android reference. I added the constant just in case it was spotted in the wild. Have you seen it consistently? Does it usually show valid LTE data? Does it appear to trigger when CA is active? What device and Android version?

This is on my Le Eco Pro3. Marshmallow 6.0.1 OS. I only recently noticed it because I just came back to this device. It definitely does show whenever CA is enabled. I just did a speed test to force CA and took a screen cap of my settings with the pulldown. Definitely an accurate reading on this device.

  6. I mean this market is only 34% done with b41 so it's not going to be great. B25 has more potential at this point. 15x15 with 4x4 MIMO and 256 qam will make it 300 mbps limit. Easier to do too.

After 120 days (when I can use an upgrade on this plan), I'll probably pick up the G6 for that heavy discount.  We'll see if that sale is still available then lol.  Nexus 5x can pick up 10x10 B25, but I don't think it has 256 QAM capabilities.

  7. I don't think Sprint needs to merge with T-Mobile. Sprint can be a powerful cellular content player. Merging with a cable company with some low band is all they really need. I think Marcelo is throwing around the T-Mobile name to keep the stock up and stuff. It does seem like Sprint is going in a different direction and not in the way of T-Mobile. They have a deal with Amazon with adding prime to your account, now Tidal (both are content and media), the opening of more stores. Whereas T-Mobile is worried about trying to match Verizon with coverage.

Sprint has a decent coverage map as it currently stands in size. Merging with Dish or whoever in cable can pack a powerful punch and still give the other 3 a run for their money with a extremely strong dense network...just my thoughts.

Realistically, Sprint needs to focus on primary markets (capacity/coverage WITHIN major markets) like T-Mobile did in its early LTE stages, then after the healthy customer growth, focus on rural coverage/expansion.
