Looks like they may have finally lit up the site at Missouri Bottom and Ville Donna (near 370/270 intersection). I'll verify over lunch and grab SCIDs.

I picked up a signal from what appears to be a new live site around the Manchester and McCausland area with an SCID of 24 (decimal). Based on signal strength and a little driving, I think the Jamieson/Arsenal, Maplewood (Sutton), and Clayton-Tamm sites can be ruled out, unless any of them are not 3 sector sites. I plotted some Sensorly points around those areas. You have to zoom in quite a bit to see all of the points, since they are new data.

There's a little more purple between Airport Rd. and St. Charles Rock Rd. on 170 than before, with the strongest signal strength around Natural Bridge. Did a site in that vicinity go live?

So my co-worker and I have noticed that our 3G service has been going in and out, yesterday and today, periodically (we both have the Note 2, but different ROMs). The most likely site (by distance/geography) that we are connected to is the site at 270 and Missouri Bottom, which has NV panels, cabinets, RRUs, and a fiber marker. Also, my LTE Engineering screen, which normally reports the serving cell ID of the last LTE serving cell the phone was connected to, is reporting a serving cell of 455, which is not a serving cell ID of any other site reported in the area so far. Does anyone know if this is indicative of any LTE testing or possible pending activation of LTE at a site?

http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/metro/cities-urge-nixon-to-veto-bill-requiring-quicker-local-decisions/article_4aa95a0c-fe5d-5797-bc81-fa0375cfe179.html This article mentions St. Charles County opposing this new bill requiring more timely reviews by cities of cell tower applications. It may speak to their present stance on cell towers and timeliness of reviewing associated applications and/or permits.

Apparently, Sensorly was upgrading their servers over the weekend. There are some points shown on Lemay Ferry today that weren't there yesterday, so it's possible the new servers are up and starting to process the points over the last several days. It may be another couple days before it's caught up to "real time". Sometimes, viewing at different zoom levels will reveal different points as the data points are added to the different zoom layers.

Does anyone have any idea why Sprint wouldn't implement some sort of micro cell sites in the major stadium venues (Busch, Scottrade, Edward Jones, etc.). Is is driven more by cost, technological complexity, cooperation of venues, or something else? Are the new 3G NV sites downtown an attempt to increase coverage of the big STL venues? Between the number of people and the fact that you're in a big steel and concrete building, getting any kind of decent throughput is next to impossible during a game/event.

I drive 170 to and from work everyday, and have, to this point, always lost my LTE signal just south of Airport Rd. Those are possibly some corrupt data points in Sensorly. If you zoom in on that area, it shows a gradually weaker signal as you drive south on 170, not a darker blip that you see when zoomed out further.

There is a site on a tall building off of S. Brentwood, which appears to have a set of panels point directly toward the 170/40 interchange. I'm going to try driving south on S. Brentwood tonight on my way home from work, since it looks like there is a panel pointed south/southwest of the building. This assumes the new panels are is a similar orientation to the old ones in the Google satellite imagery.

Did anyone else do any Sensorly plotting near 170/Clayton lately? I had my Tasker LTE "scan" running with Sensorly running in the background this morning. I'm seeing an LTE blip on the Sensorly map near 170/Clayton now (near 170/40 interchange), but not 100% it was me since I wasn't looking at my phone at the time to verify an LTE connection. I guess it could be the Clayton "200" site that's gone live.

Drove down Forest Park Pkwy to check out the Clayton "200" site. No soup.

I'll go by there tonight after work and see if I pick anything up. I do know that I can't get an LTE signal from 170 when passing that location. There are a lot of relatively taller buildings in Clayton, so I guess it's possible the signal is reflected and/or dispersed too much before it can reach 170, or there is more down tilt than other locations.

The Dellwood Rec Center site appears to be up and running. I drove by there this morning on my way to work and grabbed some Sensorly data. You have to zoom in quite a bit to see the points on the Sensorly map. I only grabbed points up W. Florissant and some going west on 270. At one point I was getting 31 Mbps down and 11 Mbps up.

Still up this morning at 6:50 am when I drove through the Lindbergh/270 site coverage area.

Has anyone else noticed that the LTE points captured in Sensorly on Lindbergh, McDonnell, and some other surrounding areas don't show up on the map until you zoom down to about the 4 square mile level? They "disappear" when you zoom out. I see this on both the Android mobile app and the standard web site on a PC.
