  1. Hello all... Just wanted to share this incase any of you had a Nexus 5 yet... If you have access to your MSL unlock code, you can go ahead and enable the Tri-Band LTE for supporting Sprint's Spark network before it's official rollout date on your phone by following these instructions on XDA: http://tinyurl.com/lrf4nk6 I don't know if it's a placebo effect or not, but there are quite a few that have noticed an increase in LTE speeds that aren't even in a Spark enabled area... Anyway... I hope at least new to some of you... Have a great day :-)
  2. I didn't see anything posted about this... But, has anyone ordered their Nexus 5 through Sprint? If so, have you had any communications saying that it has shipped or shipping? Thank you in advance for any helpful info on this subject...
  3. AHAHHAHAHAHAH!!! :-D Yup... I'm totally using your rom :-D How in the world did you find this post? Are you around this area?
  4. I am getting an LTE signal all up and down Clemson Blvd here in Anderson...
  5. Interesting... Sprint must be almost ready to turn on another tower here in Anderson... I was at the intersection of 28 Bypass and Whitehall and LTE popped up on my phone... It lasted until I got halfway between there and where HHGregg is on 28... Interesting...
  6. Maybe the elusive LG D820 a.k.a. Nexus 5 :-D That would be pretty friggin sweet :-)
  7. This entire article made my night :-D I've been spreading it as well, so I hope I'm not a contributing factor in your servers crashing if they do :-D Keep up the good work ;-)
  8. Does anyone know of any work currently being done on the site CR03AW006 here in Anderson right off Shackleburg? I went by there and it seems to have new fiber running towards that direction, and I'm getting about 2Mbps down and .75Mbps up right there... I'm guessing backhaul is down... Just wondering about LTE... Thank you in advance for any info...
  9. Here is my results on the 4G tower in Pendleton: http://i.imgur.com/XmdVqQN.png
  10. The tower off of exit 14 (Pendleton) was lit up over the weekend... Which I believe brings LTE to Tri-County Tech... But... Still nothing in Anderson... Supposedly they are lighting the two towers up Friday that they have been working on... We'll see...
  11. I know... I even dialed ##debug# to see if MAYBE it was tested then turned off... Nope... Nothing... Sprint rep strikes again... Trolled once again :-\ Sometimes I wonder if they just make crap up... :'(
  12. They looked up my zip which is Pendleton, but I live in the Anderson area off Liberty Hwy... I think the person on the phone was trolling me though... They did the same thing a few months back...
  13. Thank you very much for testing... You can take this with a grain of salt... But I contacted Sprint twice today because of the new pricing plans that just rolled out Friday to see if I would save anything by switching to them, which I wouldn't... But... Both times the rep on the phone confirmed that the towers in my area were supposed to go live 11pm tonight... Lol... Let's see... Maybe they really are rolling some more towers out tonight... But... They've totally trolled me before about network expansion...
  14. Hello everyone... Glad that some people are actually starting to see LTE here in the upstate... I would like someone that is actually getting LTE to try an experiment for me if you have time... It'll require that you have your MSL or unlock code... Ok... If so and you feel like taking a few minutes... Run a few Speedtest.net tests and screen shot them... Then... Afterwards: 1: Open Dialer and dial ##DATA# (##3282#) 2: Click Edit 3: Enter your six digit MSL then hit OK 4: Click Others 5: Click Multimedia 6: Write down all info on this screen incase you get negative results 7: Change to: RTSP Proxy Address: 0.0.0.0 RTSP Proxy Port: 0 HTTPPD Proxy Address: 0.0.0.0 HTTPPD Proxy Port: 0 8: Back all the way back out to front screen 9: Reboot 10: Test with Speedtest.net app a few more times and see if you're get higher speeds... This worked great for me with 3G, just kinda wondering if these settings will effect 4G as well... I thank anyone in advance for the info...
  15. "Left out" doesn't even begin to describe how I feel... I'm barely even sometimes getting 14kbps here in the Anderson/Pendleton area... That's right... 14kbps... Like as slow as DIAL UP... I feel like my phone should be making dial up noises when I log into my Facebook!!! My downlink just 2 and a half years ago here averaged anywhere from 1.5-2Mbps... I'd say that was a HEAVY reduction of speed... Meanwhile EVERY other service has 4G of some sort... Heck... I would be happy with Wimax...
  16. I agree... I did that with my iPhones as well... But I could never get past the horrible lag with my AppleTV... How did you get around that? It was so bad that it made it unplayable... I researched and researched and only found others with the issue with no resolve... I ask because I would love to have that setup with my iPad...
  17. As someone who is a phone freak... Seriously... In the past 4 years I've had an HTC Touch Pro, HTC Hero, HTC Evo, HTC Evo3D, Motorola Photon, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, and now the Galaxy Note 2... I can honestly say after the Photon I went Apple due to the cleanness and non-fragmentation... And also so that I could carry over some of the apps that I had on my iPad... But... After playing around with the Galaxy S3 I was impressed and ended up going back to Android with the Note 2, and haven't even thought about looking back... It's a really clean machine, and there are MANY things that I can do with it that I could not have dreamed about with iPhones... iPhones are great if you wanna keep it simple... But... I love the fact that I have over 1000 original SNES, NES, and Playstation games on my Note and that I can hook it up to my TV and use up to 4 PS3 controllers with this phone... If you're into messing with your gadgets and love openness and actually maxing out the potential of the hardware you carry in your pocket... Android is far superior... The battery life and signal quality of this phone make the iPhone's I had look sub-par... I am able to get signal on this phone in places I could never get signal on my iPhone... And yeah... This phone is made out of plastic vs my nice glass and aluminum iPhone... But... I'm the type of person who keeps their phone in a case... I don't typically take it out of it's case when handling it or showing it to others...
  18. So... I figured out that the Sprint reps on the phone have absolutely no clue what they are talking about :-D I called them about the fact that they had said that the tower next to me was being upgraded with network vision as I had mentioned in a previous post... They were like "Oh yeah... The towers done... Make sure you have your LTE on, and you should start getting it..." Then after I told them It was turned on, they proceeded to tell me that in fact the tower had been upgraded but that the other towers in the area had to be upgraded and that all of them would be turned on at the same time once the entire project is complete... Which kinda makes sense... But it seemed like a programmed response that was made up because of the quick 180 change in what they were telling me...
  19. Anderson, SC was reported as getting 4G LTE as of the 16th of Jan according to their own website: http://newsroom.sprint.com/article_display.cfm?article_id=2495 Not sure what you mean by this...
  20. Well... Called after there wasn't any indication of LTE on my status bar... According to the rep that I spoke with, the date of the 2nd was only for voice, and that the data wasn't set to be done until the 7th... We will see...
  21. Just wanted to add that I just got off the phone with two Sprint reps, which both confirmed that the green light date for 4G LTE in the Anderson/Pendleton area will be Apr 2... That you may see LTE as soon as next week, but the actual launch is set for the 2nd of next month...
