  1. Google offers gigabit fiber service starting at $70 / month!! https://t.co/vxTbyIDC #kansas

  2. Been using my new @synology DS212j for a day now... thing is *freaking* awesome. (i've never found a nas I liked before) Worth every penny.

  3. Once again, I *hate* #AIX. One processor card installed? 110v. Two processor cards? 220v. #%#$

  4. Wow... I was driving through a not-heavily populated area in Houston and picked up a random 4G LTE connection... I had full strength and decided to run a speed test while the tower was within range... http://www.speedtest...d/215833718.png Test Date: Jul 21, 2012 12:32:25 pm Connection Type: Lte Server: Houston, TX Download: 21539 kbps Upload: 9524 kbps Ping: 51 ms External IP: 66.87.120.144 Internal IP: 51.130.126.144 Latitude: 29.56583 Longitude: -95.22479 I'd say 21Mbit down is pretty impressive... too bad getting a signal is so hard
  5. "#Nokia posts another disastrous quarter" #whoissuprised

  6. LOL @sprint The only place I get 4G LTE in Houston is on the 15th floor of my work building. Ground level I haven't seen a single 4G link.

  7. Haha. So I've seen one (EDIT: Two!) (EDIT: Four!) LTE site in operation... they are funny ones though. I can access the sites on the 15th floor of my office building, anywhere else in Houston I don't get any LTE service. It seems like Sprint has the tower antennas angled to not cover the ground... maybe part of testing? It's pretty fast though Test Date: Jul 18, 2012 7:48:42 am Connection Type: Lte Server: Houston, TX Download: 6167 kbps Upload: 2098 kbps Ping: 48 ms External IP: 66.87.120.187 Internal IP: 51.130.126.187 Latitude: 29.76110 Longitude: -95.45374 Netmonitor: Operator: 310 04622 (Sprint) Carrier: SprintCom INC Type: LTE NID: 5, BID:13026 Texas, Harris, Houston, Red Trail (easy) Network ID's seen: 5 9586 5 13026 5 5027 5 6275 5 3521
  8. Hmm.. I drove from West Houston to South Houston today through downtown... not a single LTE connection on my Galaxy Nexus LTE (with LTE enabled)
  9. It seems @omgubuntu has become omgunitylenses lately :-\ *clicks to remove bookmark*

  11. Mmmmm. Ruggles green in Houston.

  12. Oh look, I has commit access to Mesa + Gallium3D. Who has two thumbs and is a magical open source developer... this guy!

  13. Oyi... paying extra for data when i'm stuck on 3g sucks. Lets hope the LTE deployment moves soon.
