  1. And looking at Sensorly's maps, it appears some other phones have jumped on it around UW as well.
  2. LTE appeared on the south side of UWMC in the past hour or two. As was the the norm, nothing present this morning, nor was it the last time I was outside, but after stepping outside a few minutes ago, there it was! Mapped out a short walking path around the parking lot, so it should appear on Sensorly soon. Signal was stronger on the east end of the mapping, so perhaps the now active tower is in the east or SE direction?
  3. It's been on and off again in Kent just north of 212th along east valley. It will be there for a few then gone. Mostly "there" in the early morning, then back sometimes in the afternoon. Pretty slow when it is there around 2megs down.
  4. Grandfathering used to sound good, but what carriers have taken too to sidestep this (as Sprint did with standard/smartphone transitions) is the deem new phones "incompatible" with old/unlimited plans. They will say that the plan can't be coded for the new phones, but it's a load, they set it up so it "can't" be done by CSR's. Verizon just did this to a coworker of mine when his wife switched to an iphone5 from a droid. It's just their way of forcing people off the unlimited plans.
  5. Sprint Zone popped up notification yesterday officially telling me that NV, in the form of better 3G and 4GLTE was happening in my area and that I should start seeing the improvements Just looked so I could screenshot it, but I can't seem t find and option to pull up former notifications
  6. I was in Corvallis from the 10th through the 12th and sadly got nothing.
  7. I see LTE has started appearing in Bellingham now too.
  8. Any word on Newport or Corvallis? I drove down from Washington for the week and am currently in Newport. Not seeing anything here, nor did I in Lincoln City when we came through. Wednesday I'll be headed to Corvallis, if there is anything I'll map what I can.
  9. wow I have not looked in a while and given the coverage Sensorly is showing in the Bay Area (is that right? ...I'm not from Cali ) I figure that something would have shown up in Sac by now
  10. lol yeah I get it, just wanted to make sure there was not something I was missing anything. Although not in this exact sector, I am in telecommunications myself. Also asked to help others understand why the rollout is going to way it is. Although everyone thinks their local towers should be first... it's kind of human nature to want something first.
  11. Yeah, and in which case LTE would not be live, so this goes along with the way the rollout is happening. Please clarify that statement. At what point is a tower "ready" if it's not ready to go live. I assume you mean ready for NV status and not necessarily LTE, but I am fairly sure the comments above were specifically about LTE.
  12. I think it's been mentioned before that they probably started on the towers that already have the backhaul bandwidth to support LTE first. This while the other tower backbone feeds are being upgraded, or at least in the process of being upgraded.
