  1. Experiencing slower-than-normal 3G data speeds downtown Lansing for about the past week. Not sure why. I really hope they get that Lugnut tower lit up with LTE soon.
  2. I picked up a Space Grey 32GB iPhone 5s today from the west Lansing store. I got there just before 8 and there were about 15 people waiting. They did not have any silver or gold models in-store, and the person in front of me got the last 16GB model they had. All in all, pretty smooth rollout.
  3. iPhone 5 does not have a Band 26 capable radio, however, the just-announced-today iPhone 5c and 5s models do. From Gigaom: Apple threw Sprint a big bone in this latest refresh. Its variant will support the new LTE network Sprint is launching over its old Nextel iDEN spectrum later this year. That means Sprint iPhone users will be able to tap into two of its three LTE networks, though they’ll have to wait to get access to the enormous potential capacity of Sprint’s planned TD-LTE network.
  4. I take W. Michigan Ave to and from work everyday, from Delta Twp., to the Capitol. Last night for the first time, I noticed that I maintained a very strong LTE connection from downtown all the way until somewhere between Rosemary and Waverly Rd. It may be this has been active before, but it's the first time I noticed. FWIW, Speedtest pulled down 9.5 Mbps, but only .62 up.
  5. Excellent. How soon do you estimate we'll see an LTE connection in Delta Twp.? (I'm near Waverly HS) Do you think it'll be a signal strong enough to get indoors?
  6. While this story linked below is primarily about at&t and Verizon, it does mention Sprint at the end, but seems to misrepresent their LTE offerings. I thought they officially launched in parts of the state, right? http://www.mlive.com/business/index.ssf/2013/04/att_expanding_4g_lte_network_t.html#incart_river_default
  7. Good news on the Olivet front. My parents live between Narrow Lake and Duck Lake, and last weekend while driving home I was surprised that I was getting LTE on Narrow Lake Rd, if memory serves correctly, somewhere between 5 Point Hwy and Spicerville Hwy. Of course at my folks' I barely get 3G.
  8. I was in Eaton Rapids yesterday and LTE there is fast, but coverage falls off pretty rapidly outside the city limits. My gf's mother lives about 4 miles east of town and I was barely able to maintain one or two bars of 3G at her house.
