Completely on 3G right now in Cardiff... Also came back from my first Mexico trip yesterday, through the Otay crossing. Pretty much no signal. Even up by the Southwestern campus off the 905, where my wife teaches. Glad that I don't visit her there often.

Cardiff must be having work done at Birmingham and San Elijo. I'm on 3G right now. If I do the airplane mode toggle, I get LTE for about 10-15 seconds then it drops back to 3G.

I use the LTE Discovery app, it shows the band on the Signals tab.

Marv, the LTE is strong enough at my desk in Carlsbad that I watched the World Cup through the Watch ESPN app, and the video quality was crystal clear.

For me, the biggest issue is the interruption of service. I don't care if it takes a year to get LTE there, I see it as unacceptable to have no data signal.

No data at the Home Depot in Clairemont. Pretty bad, considering how many people are in this area.

I still have strong LTE in Carlsbad, but I did notice it dropping from LTE over in San Marcos. From Business Park Drive all the way over to the 78.

Yeah, UTC has a bunch of new LTE spots. I'm going to see if I can track them down using Netmonitor.

Yeah, Clairemont is really hit or miss right now. I hang out at a bunch of bars there like Players (northeast), Blarney Stone (southeast), Boomerang's (west), and Peter D's (north central), and I'm lucky to get even weak LTE at most of those places.

I've had rare LTE in that area, but definitely not a strong signal. The Costa Verde area of UTC is definitely getting a strong signal now.
