  1. Welcome to planet S4gru, we come in pieces.
  2. T-mobile's network will not compare with Sprint's completed NV network until they have sub gigahertz frequency for LTE. Assuming Sprint phones with 800 Lte support roll out and the 800 Lte RRU's are turned on fairly quick. AJ, do you know how many markets have 800 RRU's installed already? All of the towers I've seen out here so far have all 4.
  3. The galaxy nexus was the worst RF performing smartphone i had ever used. It did perform well in NYC last summer with ultra tight cell spacing, but back home it was unable to hold a constant signal, and gave me fits while making calls or trying to access any data on EVDO. That said, i have the GS3 now and it performs like a new device after flashing the MC3 build. Similiar side by side performance with an iPhone 5...which i considered the crown jewel on Sprint; along with the Note 2.
  4. I like that you mentioned "Sooner" while talking about the Cowboy's town. Yeah i seem to recall advances in the rollout that could put a live one out in Stilly before June Side note i was at the 66ers game last night and was able to pull 16mbps down burried inside the Spiritbank Center. I was almost for certain i would fall back to 3G, but it held LTE the whole game/slaughtering.
  5. I can tell no difference on WIFI ^ Another Tapatalk edit bites the dust!
  6. The only test with data to back that up would come from EVDO, After the update 3G data pull is much more consistent, same goes for the upload. It definitely seems to make more efficient use of the signal. I'll say the modem has more "bite". Give it a whirl
  7. Well worth it, the modem upgrade is very obvious.
  8. No tickets can be placed until Sprint has launched our market
  9. I have no router in my home. I have an access point down the hill and across the stream from me. Get excellent signal all through the home and all over my neighborhood for that matter.
  10. Yes but we cheat and use UBIQ gear. And for the record i want LTE at my house, i don't want to use it but i do want to have it.
  11. The tragedy was blaming Sprint for wimax, that was out of their control.
  12. Thank ya sir. I do my homework. I have learned much from the Wireless Wizards of S4GRU.
  13. It was 408 with an SNR of 18.4, All 3 sectors fluctuate signal noise sporadically. Hope the towers by my house don't act like that.
  14. Amazingly i think i found its sweet spot, in a neighborhood about a mile south of the site i pulled 25.32 down from it.
  15. If they are subpar results that's nothing to boast about, however these numbers seem to be my norm. The Lte i've experienced has been significantly better than my 3G experience. Many ping times are over 100ms on 4G and i do not see these as being typical of other markets, I'm sure as more sites come online performance numbers will rise and end user quality will adjust accordingly. We are also glad that you don't have our crews! You know we appreciate your wisdom Travis.
  16. I have a screenshot with -77 signal -9 RSRQ & SNR of 8.2 pulled from sector 7, which is on the furthest site south in Bixby. It spits about 8-20mbps back.
  17. I'm sure as other sites around it coming down from Claremore, Owasso, and heading southbound out on Hwy 169 come online 4G will perform more as intended. I know several are complete and ready to get turned on, still a long way out from being done though. Those results are right in line with my findings out on several sectors in Bixby aside the fact that Bixby has nicely functioning Lte (at least down Memorial.)
  18. Hey it's on, if they get some speed out of it within a few days or a week after broadcasting then so be it. I'd rather see 4G on than off, even if its slow (temporarily.)
  19. I'm pretty sure this is 4G without fiber backhaul. Two more towers are now ready to turn on (assuming they are now just turning them on without proper backhaul.) 81st Mingo & Union HS. This will complete 4G stretch all the way from 11th & Memorial all the way to Sapulpa.
  20. First off, EFF windows. I lost everything on windows 7 after an update a few months back. It was my last straw with Microsoft,I've taken the open source road as of late. I'll be near there in about an hour or so and I'll take a look.
  21. My brother has a Photon, Never since he's had the phone has Wimax propagated indoors at my home. However in the last 24 hours it has remained on constantly while in the house, was able to pull 3 mbps down in a central location of the house. 8 mbps on the back patio. I live just over a mile from our southeast protection site.
