Just at a glance i did not see anything related to Sprint on that site. Sponsors get access to all the sites, and Premier sponsors have the most fun.

I'd say that in NYC, tower spacing can be even closer than that at times.
It certainly can be, average site spacing works out to about 1800 feet in NYC which puts some over and some under that figure.
-
That is my concern, with tower spacing of 5 - 10 miles... What good is a two mile radius of LTE.. Especially when mobile?
That's the spacing used on highway corridors and rural areas, around metro areas spacing is often 1-3 miles. In NYC the average site is under 1/4 mile from the adjacent site.
-
LTE 800 hopefully will fix that here lol
If you have LTE on 1900mhz at your doorstep, but not inside your home LTE on 800 will solve your problem.

LTE is as fragile as a day old baby
That's not necessarily the case, however LTE on 1900mhz is fickle about permiating indoors.
To answer the OP question each technology (4G/3G/CDMA) is separately remotely adjustable on each of Sprints sector antennas; thus coverage radius may vary accordingly. Also if your standing at the bottom of the site running a speed test you may as well be kicking tires, most sweetspots are 1/4-1/2 mile away from the sector (for testing.)

In my market, Sprint and TMO literally follow each other. There is usually a TMO site within a block of Sprint. When 800mhz is deployed Sprint will really have the upper hand. Saddest yet Sprint has an opportunity to pass everyone, its knocking on their door and has gone completely unanswered.

Thats about all I need, I stream music and watch netflix but on Tmo HSPA+ which capped at 10mbps for me I was doing them things with no effort or buffering. But the lte speeds for sprint are kinda in line with what Verizon offers in real world situations.
Yes very similar.
-
When you are in a completed area I'm sure it's 5-12 mbps on average. I have seen as fast as 39mbps in my 5x5 market. If you just use the web, apps, etc it will be plenty fast.

ame="Mobilesolutions" post="184852" timestamp="1376162472"]oh yeah. I think once its in the -40 to-55 range the signal gets distorted. Now LTE ive only seen as low as -70
Yes at -40 the environment is too harsh for the antenna. -70 is a sweet place to be with an Lte signal
-
my phone did that. The physical bars would show no service or poor service, but the real numeric values would be like -50. I dont know what causes it. Maybe software misinterpreted it

A -50 rssi from a macro site is blistering strong.

Well, the raised hut on stilts and thatched roof also help me maintain Wi-Fi signal even when I am down on the beach mending my fishing nets or up in the trees collecting coconuts.

I'm envisioning castaway.

But what about TD-LTE 2600? I have got to get high up off the ground with an RF permeable roof.
AJ
You should be on WIFI at home Master AJ-WWAN
Regardless if you need help moving into your hut give me a call, you have my #.
-
Correct. And this is why I am moving into a thatched roof, stilted hut.
AJ
Little late to make that move considering you have 800mhz CDMA at your home already.

I would live in Oklahoma...for the right pay rate. Know any government agencies hiring construction managers?
Robert
EDIT: I did look at a job with the Oklahoma Historical Society managing their projects. However, I missed the closing date of the job by one day! DOH!
I know the Aries group in Tulsa is looking for a senior project manager in the $60-80k range. I'll keep an ear out, I'm well connected.

As most of you know, I have a Sprint/Verizon/Tmo/Cricket/Commnet site right next to my house. The tower is 250' tall, and if it fell the right direction it would hit my house. It has been all good living so close to the site. No downside whatsoever.
If I ever move, I want to be within 500' - 750' of a site.
Robert
I'm sure American tower will accommodate your request. When I lived in San Francisco I had the 977 foot "Twin peaks" tower just a cross the hill (2 football fields) away. We are as far from the tin hat wearing folks as it gets Robert, wireless is in maaaa blood.
Also I vote your next home be in Oklahoma...if you want some good chicken.

It's the Silicon Prairie
And it's about to come sweeping down the plains

I had one month I ran over 20GB. On 3G 70% of the time 4G 30% I have averaged 6-8 GB month.

Can you say when you'll go public?
2014-15
-
Are you gonna go big and mega billion ipo-style public?
At a time.
-
Is this a Comcast replacement? Or for those who can only get dsl?
Neither. This is the beginning phase of a LONG term deployment model for fixed/mobile applications. Fixed & mobile wireless is first, Next generation wireless access at home and on the go.
If you are running a server, or engaging in any internet pirating activities wireless is NOT going to be wireline replacement.
We plan to be a big player in (residential) fiber rollouts as well.

Not sure how much I will buy into that. It doesn't fit that Sprint will start and complete a 4g site adjacent to another. It would seem easier to just fire up the other one next to it while they are close by.
Maybe the flip switcher isn't doing his job.
-
I can't wait to see it. It sounds like you all will have some pretty expansive coverage.
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2
All depends on how much funding can be provided, 4 billion dollars will go a long way; 20 would really make things happen.
You are likely in the first city that will see a full build 6x6 MIMO deployment The question is how many more cities can we bring on?

There is coming relief for you guys, hang on a little longer. Eon is the motherlord.

So they are demolishing the building with my Tower on it...

They are not oblivious, they were informed. Does it already have NV equipment installed?
