  1. I am wondering if the Airave 4 are essentially a Magic Box and a CDMA voice airave merged together. Since I am not in a Magic Box area, maybe that's why LTE don't work.
  2. I dialed *99 with my Airave 4 and got error message. Based on signal check, I am definitely on my Airave
  3. Dish doesn't have much low band, I believe. They do have some 600Mhz. But the bulk of their spectrum is in AWS and PCS H block as well as some satellite bands converted for terrestrial use
  4. I do hope FCC is going to enforced the deadline and hand the spectrum to whoever really want to be a carrier. I doubts the current FCC will do that.
  5. I am in an area where Magic Box is not allowed. Don't know if same thing keep LTE off-limits to my Airave. When the rep ordering me the Airave, she did say that when punching in my address there are some weird error messages about the area not compatible. But she went ahead and ordered the Airave anyway.
  6. Yes. But Dish didn't show any will to actually be a carrier.
  7. I feel like an existing regional player should be a better 4th carrier, if they get the divested spectrum, network gear and a good wholesale roaming deal. I think DOJ should better get TMO/S to agree on on a network sharing/mvno/roaming deal open to all regional players than manufacture a 4th player.
  8. They could be switching MVNO agreement. Or they will become a regional carrier and use MVNO agreement as the basis for roaming.
  9. My Airave 4 has CDMA up and running in no time. But LTE still don't work for couple days now. All lights are green excpt LTE which is blinking red
  10. Yes. I agree. Sprint's Oregon Network is very good. I don't know how I would report it. I don't want to spend hours talking to CS rep that don't know what's going on.
  11. It happens everywhere in Oregon. In many cases they start to roam before falling off to CDMA.
  12. Yes. When my S10 is actually on Sprint VoLTE, it turns off CDMA. I think this is what suppose to happened with standard VoLTE implementation. For some reason, my Samsung don't know it needs to turn CDMA back on once I roam onto T-mobile. I suspect because T-mobile has VoLTE. Samsung mistakenly believe it could use it for voice. This behavior is less frequent with USCC.
  13. Thanks. Let me know what you found. I doesn't really need LTE since there is pretty good T-mobile LTE. I just need voice coverage.
  14. I suspect a Samsung bug. Once I toggle airplane mode or make a outgoing call, it will return to normal.
  15. But CDMA side works fine. And I don't have problem with Airave 3
  16. How did you get to the screen that has 1xAdv status? Galaxy
  17. My Airave 4 is up and running with CDMA only. LTE is always blinking red. Not sure why. Does it has a separate MAC address for LTE side? My cooperate network requires MAC address whitelisting. I whitelisted the MAC address on the label. The CDMA voice works fine. LTE don't. I don't needed LTE anyway. The building has good T-mobile B66.
  18. So, what I mean is about moving from one cell to another. I was in Sprint native coverage with VoLTE enabled. And calls are indeed go through VoLTE. My S10's CDMA radio is off. Now, I moved to a roaming area and latched on T-mobile. Supposedly, my phone should be using T-mobile for data only and turn on CDMA radio and use USCC or Verizon for voice. But the CDMA part never happened. My phone is latched to T-mobile's LTE network only. No incoming voice.
  19. When my phone was not in a VoLTE enabled area, it works fine. But if my phone is in VoLTE enabled area with VoLTE on(CDMA Radio Off), it becomes a problem. But again outgoing calls are fine. My galaxy knows to drop LTE and find CDMA. But since CDMA is not monitored, incoming fails. My phone does use SRLTE normally when not roaming. Last time when I has this roaming problem, I bring up my Samsung engineering screen and it says CSFB. It works fine with VoLTE disabled. It only happens when my phone was in VoLTE mode (CDMA radio off) right before entering roaming.
  20. Anyone has a roaming problem with VoLTE? I am driving through Oregon last weekend. It has VoLTE pretty much everywhere. However, sometimes when Sprint LTE is not strong enough, it will park on T-mobile and USCC. When I am roaming on T-mobile, incoming voice don't work as my S10 don't know to start searching for CDMA signal and T-mobile won't send CSFB signal. Outgoing call works as phone know it needs to drop LTE and look for CDMA signal. It happens sometimes on USCC. But in most case, it will know to find USCC's CDMA signal.
  21. Do you have to use an external GPS antenna? Do they have an internal GPS antenna?
  22. Are you sure CDMA is working without GPS? Do they give you a chirp sound when calling out?
