  1. wow they Caved. I thought they were gonna hold strong after they made that comment about we have a option for offline players called the xbox 360. A lot of damage has been done, I had one on pre-order anyway since my xbox is always online it wasn't that big of deal to me in particular but it was a bs policy. They would have lost millions of dollars sticking with the policy, sure they fend off a few pirates but it just hurts the market more that at helps. Game Stop might stick around after all.
  2. Seems like there is always trolls on engadget, I just thought the pictures were cool. People seem to think that upgrading a nationwide network is plug n play. I'm just as sick of waiting for it as the next person but it is making progress. If Sprint would have stuck with wimax I think I would have jumped shipped. People just don't realize that when 4G was deployed, wimax failed so now all these 4G phones are killing the 3G network until LTE is done. I'm sure if Sprint got a redo they would do it over, but when I read what there long term plan was to fix it I wanted to stick around.
  3. I thought this was pretty cool. http://www.engadget.com/2013/06/12/sprint-testing-lte-cell-sites-in-san-francisco-we-go-hands-on/
  4. Thanks for the reply. They were just things I noticed, none of them really bother me that much. I just like to give input, I really like having the widget one of my home screens. Keep up the fantastic work!
  5. I haven't noticed any battery drain. I love the real time widget. They have been building out LTE in my area now for a while, I am starting to pick it up in more places. I like having the chime come on when entering 4G. A couple cool options I wrote below, I'm not sure if they could be added. 1. When LTE drops, a down chimes plays so if you are not looking at your screen you know when the signal dumps. (still have the option to disable/enable it) 2. I use an aux cable (getting a new deck soon with BT) but would be nice if there was an option to disable alerts when either headphones/aux is plugged in or BT is streaming audio. It doesn't cut out my music, but it will play at the same time with the current version. 3. I actually like the chimes (I haven't heard the 800 alert yet) but being able to select system notifications or your own sound files would be cool or add more built in sound effects. I really like the app & how it works so don't know if those things are even doable but I always like providing feedback. These aren't major issues by any means, would just be cool features. Keep up the good work!
  6. I was sold on the pro version after playing with the lite version for about a minute. Already wrote a 5 star review on the play store, hopefully it doesn't drain battery but great so far just what I was looking for. Thanks njjdnt for recommending it.
  7. FINALLY Minnesota! I'm so sick of 3G, I might as well use netzero
  8. Where is Minneapolis? How does this not make the list, it's a huge market and acoarding to this site it should be underway in the next few months I'm disssapointed.
  9. Also can't wait. We dumped our sprint cards for Verizon hotspots at my work. What a difference it's was like going from Net Zero dial up to high speed cable everywhere and then some. We pretty much get coverage everywhere N, S, E, W of the metro we can go pretty far out without any disruption. We are gonna stick it out a little longer with Sprint for our phones but if LTE coverage is anything like wimax were gone including my personal line. Wimax is one of the worst networks every built it's complete garbage. You would think when they tested it in a test market someone would have said wow this sucks we should not spend millions of dollars building a worthless network that is nearly impossible to stay connected to unless you hold still in one spot under the tower on a clear day. I hope Sprint LTE does not dissapoint I have high hopes for it.
  10. That's pretty solid. Here is mine granted it's at 4 in the morning but still never have seen these kind of speeds. That was Brooklyn Park/Champlin border. I will say this phone seems to have a much better 3G radio then my 3D did. Even at 4 in the morning my 3D got no where close to 2+ I was lucky to get 1+. Put my phone up against a family members verizon phone on the 4th in Maple Grove. Sprint's network was actually faster which I was shocked. Granted it wasn't LTE obviously I would get smoked. The network is getting better, I just can't wait for LTE I don't really care about peak speeds that much.Just want to it not lag out when the network is busy.
  11. I sure hope so, like I said wimax works fine if you stand still but driving it's just awful. The only reason I use it now while driving is because I set the reconnect time to 15 seconds on my 3D so when it does dump it connects right back up. I do use it to stream HQ Rhapsody streams which wimax is fine for if it actually stays connected. If the signal dumps during changing tracks it's all over. Can't wait to try LTE. So will wimax as it stand right now even hand off an activte data session? lol, that's a pretty small percentage. Out of the 32 members, some may have even clicked the box in error or didn't pay attention.
  12. I live in a "Well Covered" wimax area (Minneapolis Market) I use to get max speeds 10 megabits all the time. As of late it's been more like 5-8 range which is still decent. However wimax is completely useless when driving down the road or moving. We did use it when our worked moved to a new office for about a week till we could get a DSL line in. We had good coverage and had an evo running the entire office it held up rather nice. The trick is not moving. I have a 15 min drive home from work to the home and wimax cuts in and out the entire trip home it's a complete joke. The only reason it's somewhat usable for me is I have my phone wimax reconnect time to 15 seconds instead of the default 5 min. So the signal dumps, it will reconnect by itself. Sure I can get it to stream Rhaposody while driving at 65MPH only to quick follow by a signal dump. Ask any regular (non poweruser) that has a wimax device. Everyone that I know never uses it, cause it's crap. I do get wimax coverage at work and home but have real broadband so always using wi-fi. I will use wimax to stream rhapsody sometimes but when it's cutting in and out between tracks so does the music. I hope LTE isn't like this. Yes I do use wimax cause when the 3G network is overloaded, it's nice to have but the signal dumping non-stop while driving is so annoying.
  13. I certainly won't miss wimax cause I hate it but I have been using it more. Would be nice to have access to it until LTE is live but if they include wimax in this phone then that's just longer they will have to support wimax for.
