  1. Does the also apply for the first gen ones as well?
  2. Im thinking about up grading my X to the XS via the sprint promotion. With all the news of the Rf issues with the Max and XS is it really worth it? I would hate to get the XS and my reception is not as good as what I have the X.
  3. I hope that some of those sites affected are near the intersection of College(southeast expressway) and Petzinger Rd. I haven’t been premier section in a while.
  4. It’s definitely not. From the places I go in Columbus, everything is fine overall. A magic box could help but I don’t think you’ll get it within 14 days. I have a magic for my apartment and it helps. I get around 5down and 1up without it and with it I push about 20down and 5up. Not ultra fast but it’s enough for me.
  5. I’m on the south east side as well and i’ve never been a fan of Sprints service whenever I go out to Canal.
  6. For those with the XS/Max, have you noticed a difference in service or speeds?
  7. Growth in your market is starting it outpace their resources in spectrum. I would like to think that at the rate them gaining customers the increase in capex would also be lateral.
  8. So if I’m reading this chart correctly, from a 5G front Sprint would/bring speeds that will be competitive with the big two. T-Mobile would be absolutely the slowest (sprint of the 5G world). So this is T-Mobile saying “we need Sprint so that we can keep claiming we are the fastest.” Sprint will be the smallest carrier in coverage but will be able to handle their own in the speed dept and could become a threat.
  9. I kinda take Sprint Care with a grain of salt after my last few interactions with them. Based on the VoLTE map soft launch I saw on here, that's more than a few markets its being launched in.
  10. Man we’re going to need a service experience review from you. Sprint has done so much in your market in such a very short span of time.
  11. Really don’t. I’d like to know as well. How they’ve committed to spending $5-$6b per year for the next few years one would think, do you really need the merger? T-Mobile has spent that much on the network per year and look where it’s gotten them. What they are doing and what they are “claiming” on their merger promo run are two different things.
  12. Each carrier gave their thoughts on their 5G yesterday. Vzw, Sprint and AT&T give some good thoughts overall. However, T-Mobile gave its thoughts that was a eyeroll. They pretty much said that the customer doesn’t care about what is running their phone Conntion as long as it works. If memory serves me correct they said this same thing about coverage. No one cares about coverage in the middle of no where. Now that they have the low band, the new tune is we cover as much as Verizon. I’m sure if they had/have the spectrum for 5G it would be, we will be the fastest and blah blah. https://www.fiercewireless.com/wireless/at-t-sprint-t-mobile-verizon-ctos-give-their-takes-5g
  13. If they can keep investing this $6b per year yes. If they can win some speed studies it’ll definitely give them good attention and exposure.
  14. Hopefully it has it. But am I missing something between both models of the XS? It looks like it’s supporting the same bands and stuff.
  15. Any idea yet if these devices support HPUE?
  16. Yea that’s nothing. Any mmwave auctions they are really going to be spending money cause you’re playing with Verizon, AT&T and whoever else. They will jack the price out of their reach unless their parent company helps out which I can see happening. Right now Sprint and AT&T are sitting pretty comfy with their spectrum for 5G. Oh and that crap ton of mmwave Verizon has as well.
  17. I agree and Sprint could attract just on Speed alone (just like what T-Mobile does). 5G is there chance to take over. I will say that a lot of what T-Mobile is promising is riding on getting that 2.5. Will they be fine without it? Yes. But it’s going to be harder for them somewhat. This layer 3 is suppose to be via a cellular connection. That 2.5 will help with congestion. Without it...well it’s going to slow things down kinda especially since they are promising 4K resolution.
  18. I’d it goes into 2020, who will really care at that point besides Sprint and T-Mobile. Both their networks will be pretty built out. I would assume at that time Sprint will have a pretty strong 5G network....if they keep investing their 6b per year.
  19. SpeedSmart monthly tests results. Sprints download speeds is really in the race. Upload not so much but I can see that changing soon. Speedsmart
  20. if they only did this level of work last year. the level if network investment is right in line with what T-Mobile has been giving over the last few years. Sprint definitely would've been in a stronger position today and probably better than T-mobile. Better late than never. they are laying a good foundation in the event the merger is not approved or they pull out.
  21. Wowww looking at the speeds from the 1st half of the year and now, that's a huge jump in speeds. This is the Sprint we all longed for when it comes to putting that all spectrum they have to use.
  22. That’ll be some ish if they did pass them up. According to that doc that was posted a few posts ago, Sprints average was 23.8. Wow the wonders of investing in the network lol. They’ve had a huge speed spike in such a short time. Whats crazy is still have PLENTY room to grow their speeds. However, I feel like T-Mobile is starting to hit their ceiling on average speeds.
