  1. I thought tmobile came out and said that their 5G for now will be hotspot areas in cities. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. So I’m guessing the mmwave will be in high populated areas like malls and arenas and the 600 will be deploying like they been doing but with some aggregation and whatever else? It’ll be interesting to see what Sprints 5G is going to constructed like. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. It seems like they are the only carrier that is in a urgent state to get spectrum for 5G. Putting pressure on this entity and that entity. Honestly they won't admit to it but just like Sprint wanting that merger with T-Mobile to happen, T-Mobile was banking on that 2.5 spectrum for 5G.
  4. So they're knocking out the bigger cities first and then moving to the next set of semi larger cities. So I wonder how many cities in tital will have 5G by the first half of 2019? Even with this, they aren't giving up on 4G are they? Those panels support both 4G/5G and if they are places in 3G areas, they area now has LTE correct?
  5. So I’m guessing this is a loan they’ll have to pay back but under more favorable interest? I hope this 1.5b going towards the network. Each day Sprint kinda makes me nervous cause so much is riding on them his year. Failing to make commitment is not even an option. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I happened to come across this nugget. Based on the before images and looking at the completed sites map on here and the planned towers, it looks like Sprints coverage will look like the before pics. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I think Calling Plus was around only for testing. Letting users place calls over LTE with no prioritization on the network. It was almost like it was a worst case situation type testing. I guess it gave them better insight. From my experience, I used Calling Plus on my S8 to try out android and had no issues with calls breaking up or the other person not being able to hear me. Even on my iPhone X and doing faux VoLTE from a wi-fi calling dropping off onto LTE the calls are clear and the caller could hear me as well. Now what could set Sprint apart from the rest is if they were able to transition a VoLTE call onto 1x in the event your signal is low.
  8. I agree! From the faux VoLTE that I get on my iPhone after dropping off WiFi, I’m excited for the VoLTE. Sprint definitely has ALOT on their plate this year. I really want them to meet or exceed their plans. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. http:// https://www.fiercewireless.com/wireless/sprint-expects-to-deploy-volte-fall The time has finally come!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Wow! Bids already awarded in 5 states and work is already underway. There’s a renewed faith in Sprint especially since there’s major evidence work is being done. I really hope Sprint kicks ass this year and gets the LTE network together(coverage similar to or slightly larger than AT&T) and bash some heads and compete head to head with Verizon with 5G. 12. Yea now is the time to get on UF at its current price point minus the promos. Even if they do switch to it, there’s no guarantee that these plans will be compatible with 5G, it could become a situation where access to 5G is a add-on for UF at a certain price or they’ll be some 5G dedicated plan. 13. I’m sure they will in due time. I’ve been able to do a WiFi call and have to transfer to LTE and driving around town, the person on the other end said I was clear and wasn’t breaking up at all. If Sprint were to do a city by city or whatever kinda of staggered launch I would hope my city is in the first round. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. They definitely are heading in the right direction. My biggest wish is to get VoLTE this year on my iPhone. It was encouraging to see those reports last week that some iPhones were able to initiate calls and still have data. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Right. Sprint has always had the tools to give the other 3 a run for their money and being a force. The problem has always been execution. Hopefully this year their execution woes are forever behind them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Nice! There’s so many permits popping up all over in different states and stuff being turned on. I’m still not 100% sold on 600 being used for 5G. MMwave I guess is going to be most important and the 600 will somehow complement it. I know TMO owns some but not sure as to how much and where. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. We all are hoping for the best. However I do like how after Sprint made the commitment they would have nationwide 5G in the first half of 2019, T-Mobile changed their 5G plans to next year instead of 2020. Sprints announcement definitely put fire up under John and his team. Not too sure but maybe they figured that with what Saw is trying to do will really cause damage and make Sprint a force with their 2.5. T-Mobile really wanted that 2.5 for 5G.
