  1. same here in 29569. sprint hasn't put a new tower up here in probably over 10 years or more. there's a huge gap of coverage east of 29569 and west of 29569. these places are highly populated and every other provider but t-mobile and sprint has towers every 2 to 3 miles apart in this county. t-mobile has better coverage than sprint even, but they both drop the ball big time here. i'm sure 800mhz will help out but really they need one more tower in the center of the big gap east of 29569 and 2 towers west of 29569. eh whatever they only care about the big metro cities.

I understand your frustration. However, coverage complaints are not the purpose of this thread. I have excellent coverage in my rural area. Sprint's rural coverage is highly variable. But, it is better than Tmo in 90% of areas. You live in one of the anomaly areas, then.

And although AT&T does have better rural coverage than Sprint, AT&T loves to stick it to their rural customers. Sprint is putting LTE over it's entire coverage area. AT&T said they will not because it is throwing a tantrum about not being able to buy out Tmo and is sticking a big middle finger up at their rural customers who want LTE.

  2. I'm just teasing Ben. :)

And the one off of US 95 looks to possibly be on a street lamp on Oso Blanca Rd. Too bad the map doesn't zoom in any closer. And Robert, this one isn't listed on your Vegas map in the Sponsors section.

This is the same site that Ben posted west of Floyd Lamb Park.

what I've done is find the location of the tower the best i can on Sprints maps, then go to google maps (satellite view) and try to find the tower.

Edit: works well for the tower at s hualapai and the 159.. you can see the tower just west of the Bank of Nevada.

I use mapper.acme.com. It's easy to harvest the GPS coords from that one. I can also quickly switch between Google Terrain, Google Maps and Satellite with Acme Mapper. Highly recommend.

I'm not having any trouble finding these sites. All are either building rooftops or existing co-located sites. Satellite imagery is a great thing. Keep 'em coming!

  3. Richfield, MN https://network.spri...hfield%2C%20MN/ I noticed it on the site for 1-2 months already.

    E 66th st / Portland Ave

Here's one I found when I put in my zip code, 55417, south Minneapolis. This tower looks like it's in Richfield, near the airport:

These are the same site. This one was already on our maps. Thanks!

  4. Near Rockaway Ave & Fulton St

    Brooklyn, NY

~100ft SW of Grand Av & 54 St

    Brooklyn, NY

For NYC it states 5 new towers, and I did find one in Greenpoint Brooklyn, but when clicked all it says is new tower and not address, or coordinates.

Its going to be a bit of a job going through the NYC area and clicking on each tower symbol to see which one is new. I'll try to get the rest tomorrow.

Got these entered! I either need GPS coordinates, a cross street or screenshot. These are fine. Thanks!

  5. I appreciate the suggestion. However, when we close a thread, no one can post on it anymore and it can't get moved back to the top. It accomplishes the same thing. Eventually, all LightSquared and Nextel threads will get closed.

  6. Here's another I found. This one is in Phoenix / Chandler area..

sorry for the low resolution guys..

Added the Queen Creek AZ and the Imperial Beach CA site. Thanks!!!

I could not find one in atlanta, but I found one near memphis,tn. It looks like it is near airline rd and jetway dr.

    Got it. Thanks!

  7. Can you consider archiving in the future? Maybe once Nextel and LightSquared is completely dead!

I don't understand. Are you asking for me to remove them from the site so you don't have to see those posts anymore? If so, the answer is no. We will leave posts indefinitely. They will always remain relevant in their historical context. They will just move farther and farther down the list.

Our site is indexed by search engines, and even these old posts draw people to the site. Posts stay indefinitely.

  8. Thats a good point. All of these towers are pretty far from me, but I should be able to make that happen over the next week.

Was there a specific site, or just any of the 3 new ones I found??

It could be any site. However, the one at Cesar Chavez High School really is intriguing to me. It's also on public property and will be easier to access, most likely.

  9. Ha! my first true contribution. Glad I could help. Thanks for the shout-out! :)

I'm just glad to see that Network Vision does include network expansion of this kind. I was not aware of this until today.

It was news to me too. Hey, maybe you can go check out this site? It looks like it is built into the light standard to a High School football field. Maybe you can take some pics? I wonder if these new sites will be built to Network Vision standards? Doesn't make sense to build a new site, then go right back in 6 months and NV it!
