I've only been using VoLTE for less than a week now but I have to say that I have no issues so far in either New York or Boston. Cal quality has been great (especially to Verizon customers using VoLTE) and there have been no blocked or dropped calls so far.

Almost a week later and I'm loving this phone, battery has been phenomenal, rf performance is stellar and much improved over the 9+, and yet it still has the same dimensions. VoLTE has been solid too, just wish it worked on the magic box which I don't even need but someone else in the house needs it because of a stupid iPhone that has horrible rf performance but I digress. Way to go Samsung.

I'm no moderator here officially, but I've served as one on many other sites, both private and commercial/for profit, and just want to underscore for you guys continuing this: both Robert and other mods have warned you, and yet you're continuing the political-based discussion. Just to interject a friendly alternative suggestion before one of them comes in here and acts on that timeout threat - you could just as easily continue these back-and-forth arguments directly via private messaging, which the site supports. It's your choice whether or not to do that, but you can continue as you are, or have that choice forced on you the hard way.

I actually disagree. Mine came with the screen protector and it works just fine :-) but then again everyone's mileage will vary. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

Ya, I think sprint isn’t really telling everyone the true story about it (based on wanting to get the merger approved), but their 5G will be more than just limited coverage areas ( according to Marcelo ) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sprint roaming on T-Mobile, 3xCA earfcn 2250/2450/675. Band 4@10MHz, Band 5@10MHz and Band 2@5MHz. I see no evidence of roaming service being offered only on a selected band or channel. This is every channel they have here deployed. Digital Dividend is still in the garage, so no restrictions here. The ping runs about 60ms higher over my T-mo service in a EM7565 so probably seeing some routing through Sprint here. The upload being garbage and that little bit of loss is reflected in this being supplemental downlink, so I have the antenna tuned kind of special.

While T-Mobile could have awesome mmWave 5G in Ohio, the more important 5G story is the 600MHz nationwide. It is believed they have been saving half of it for 5G, which should basically double speeds at the edge. Even more if they CA it with 4G. So rather than a few people in the heart of major city downtowns benefiting, those inside buildings and at the edge of service should benefit the most.

Friend of mine is in the Chicago market and is experiencing the data drop outs that have been reported on Reddit. Very slow or unusable data. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

Am I the only one who doesn't care about 5G? I'm more than satisfied with LTE. I'll continue using it until I absolutely have to use 5G.

Yup, and after that just optimization.. maybe a a few towers/small cells where needed and it should be a robust experience costing far less than what the competitors are doing. If any of you watched the hearing yesterday. Marcelo told the entire panel: “ we are financially, ok now. “. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Its pretty amazing how much further along Sprint 5G is vs the competition. Especially when you realize the most powerful wireless company's attempt at this deployment is particularly sad. This 5G deployment has more drama than a Telemundo soap opera.

Going off topic a bit, the merger that I wished would've happened a long time ago is MetroPCS and U.S. Cellular. Their networks would've complimented each other so well and they would've been a decent 5th nationwide carrier with a combined 14 Million customers.
