lilg740
I just got 56mb down at St. Mary's hospital. Gotta love B41...now if they would just push the dang spark update for N5...
sbolen
I just got 56mb down at St. Mary's hospital. There is also a B41 tower at Big Bend & Dale Ave -- good coverage in that stretch of highway 40.
stlman314
Depending on which way choose to drive home I can get LTE the entire way home. If I go the faster way there is about a 5 minute gap of no LTE and crappy 3G. Come on Sprint hook me up.
Fubie
For those that don't remember I used to be a long time Sprint/Ting user from Springfield/Rogersville, MO. I work in Bethalto, IL during the week and am back home on the weekends. After the N5 camera out I decided to take the dive and pay the ETF to eliminate my Sprint contract and go with AT&T go phone. I've had a pretty good time using Go Phone with my N5 for the past 6 months. I'm considering moving back to Ting (Sprint MVNO) to help consolidate bills but I lurk here and still read about quite a few issues with Sprint. Heck in my home town many of the craptastic telephone towers Sprint loves to use haven't even been touched in the area of town where I frequent the most. Is it time for me to come home or should I keep AT&T or try T-Mob for awhile. BTW I love the fact that you can "roam" 3 carriers with this phone. On business trips I can and have easily moved between SIMS for better service without a hitch. Gotta love Google.

They are making a lot of progress but if your common areas haven't been touched, it's probably not worth coming back just yet. It's tough to say how long it will be until they blanket your zones with LTE but once they do, it should be a significant enough improvement IMO.

I would say everywhere except the immediate area around battlefield mall is in good shape. More than half of the city is on LTE now, which had taken a lot of the load off 3G, so if you get stuck on it it's not to bad. The idiot Springfield government is still holding up the permits for the remaining telephone pole sites, but the 5 upgraded sites in and just outside of town provide pretty good coverage. Especially with the N5 running the .15 radio. Both Rogersville sites are up and running, and with the N5 you should have no problem getting signal there. It's probably still a couple of months before we start to see any activity on the Band 26 front, so if you are waiting for that, you might want to wait a bit longer. tbetz
Was in the Sprint store in Creve Coeur today, playing with a GS5. I also played with a few others. After turning off the WiFi (sneaky!), it was one of the only phones getting usable LTE. Since the phone didn't have a play store account, I tested via: http://i.dslr.net/iphone_speedtest.html with about 3m download, while my M7 held in the vicinity couldn't even connect to LTE. Also, the M8 nearby showed LTE, but couldn't connect. A nearby G2 was connecting, but I forget the speed test result. Not the most accurate test, but at a glance, it looks like the GS5 gets better LTE reception than the HTC lineup - something I'm going to be thinking about in the coming weeks (reception on my M7 has been frustrating). Sprint has updated their software status page so I would imagine people will start getting it at some point.

lilg740
Just so everyone knows, the latest Signalcheck Pro update includes site logging. So instead of having to take a screenshot of every site, all you need to do it turn on logging and then go to Menu>Logs>Export. Then you can open your CSV file and it will show you the GCI's and PCIs in a list format!

I'll try to find time to go by tomorrow before work maybe.I was traveling west and was on Hwy 30 and Northwest Blvd Band 41 then Band 25 as I crossed Sugar Creek then I looked again and saw an ID I was not familiar with so that was my guess but I looked it up on the sheet once I got home to confirm. I was only paying attention because I was adding locations in the SignalCheck Pro notes with the new update today.
