Apple isn’t perfect they could have made a mistake. I haven’t seen any reports of defective power buttons or displays not powering off. I'll talk with my mother about this again later, see if there are any updates and if she still has the phone or not. I haven't seen her yet today, and the T-Mobile representative was going to allow her to send the phone in through one of their local stores, so I'll need to wait until later. If she hasn't sent the phone back in yet though, I'll try it and see. Also, I haven't received an email back yet from the Legere email, which usually is a great way at getting a response from them, but they may have called my mother instead, as I included her email. It would be nice if by later someone there helped figure out this issue in some way.
ZebraDude
Try holding down the power button and volume up at the same time. If that doesn’t work try the power button and volume down. or go into the setting app/general/ shut downSent from my moto x4 using Tapatalk
RedSpark
The X is having some issues apparently: https://www.macrumors.com/2017/11/09/iphone-x-cold-weather-fix/ https://www.macrumors.com/2017/11/10/iphone-x-green-line-on-display/ First gen hardware bugs. Not a good sign. Apple needs less Animoji and more hardware testing. 2

That’s why I went with the 8+ until the 2018 iPhone X is released.
shaferz
Early adopter here. I am one week into having the X in my hand, and it now feels odd to use my ipad and ipad mini with the home button. Using the gestures with the X took a few days of getting used to, but I'm glad I went this direction.

The ones Apple and Samsung seem to use are very loud. Not giving Apple a free pass here -- but they are fixing it. VS saying yeah it's normal and we will address with software

We’ll see what happens here. The 8 is definitely louder than the 7. I remember reading it was 25% louder here: https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2017/09/iphone-8-and-iphone-8-plus-a-new-generation-of-iphone/

It makes me wonder about Apple's ability to incorporate the new chipset by 2019 since they engineer and spec their phones 12 to 24 months out. I would say it would be the fall of 2020 before a 5G iPhone is available.

tybo31316
Anyone here ever have issues with their Sprint WiFi Calling?I have a phone when I go into settings enable WiFi calling everything goes through as if it worked. Then the “Sprint WiFi” never shows at the top. I looked at add ons on my Sprint account. “WiFi calling” and “WiFi calling for iCloud devices” is enabled. RedSpark
Had this happen to 2 of our iPhones early this morning: https://www.theverge.com/2017/12/2/16727112/iphone-crash-bug-december-2nd-2017 https://www.engadget.com/2017/12/02/ios-december-2nd-reset-bug/ Installing the just released iOS 11.2 Update fixed it. The devices essentially crash looped through the entire update download process on both devices. Once I was actually able to install the update, it stopped happening. Jeez Apple. Stop with the stupid Animoji so you can focus more resources on preventing stuff like this from happening in the future.

Luckily for me I didn’t have crashing issues updating my X this morning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
