Has anybody used the Kyocera Verve? I'm looking to go back to a basic phone, partly to cut my bill. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that Sprint allows smartphones to have just talk and text.

Is there even a plan that lacks data you can switch to? My girlfriend's parents are both on a Framily plan with two flip phones and they still have the 1GB data alloted to them. (Not that they ever use it)

I do think you're correct about Sprint not allowing smartphones to only have calling/text, though.

There is a 29.99 200 min talk plan. Then its 40 unl talk/text and 1gb.

My way still is available but it doesnt make financial sense to do it. $5o unl talk/text no data.

If you're @ $30/mo for only 200 minutes, I don't think a Sprint postpaid account is the right way to go. A prepaid carrier would make more sense at this tier if data is not required, and probably cost a little less.
