Can someone recommend a good series to watch on Netflix?

I like Blacklist but I thought it was on Fox.

Blacklist is on NBC, and Netflix has at least the first season.

Shows that I've binge watched on Netflix...

House of Cards

Daredevil

Jessica Jones

Sense8

House

Sherlock (BBC)

Doctor Who

Heroes

Supernatural

Dexter

My parents like Orange is the New Black and Breaking Bad, I just haven't watched them yet .

I would recommend Game of Thrones, but it's not on Netflix. Have to have an HBO Go (cable/satellite) or Now (standalone) account.

Looks like I'm gonna be spending a rather unhealthy amount of time on Netflix over Christmas week and the next few months for that matter. Most of the shows suggested here have been added to my watch list. Thanks for all the suggestions guys!

Any series that's available on Netflix please.

In that case, my recommendation is Lost.  Still the best show I ever experienced watching and enjoying the next-day water cooler talk between coworkers, many of whom were people I'd never have thought going in would get into a show like that.

For those of you who want your TV to "learn you something", I suggest these docs and shows:

Cosmos

Nature (The PBS series)  especially "Honey Badgers: Masters of Mayhem"

Particle Fever

Nova

Frontline

And how is Arrested Development not on the list so far?

They may not be on Netflix.  But instead I can recommend these series...

"Read a Book"

"Go Outside"

"Browse S4GRU"

"Talk to Someone"

"Play a Game"

"Prepare Some Food"

AJ

NONE of these were on Netflix AJ, but I did find a few on Amazon Prime. :rasp:

You also forgot the all time great, "Hit the Gym."

The shows i haven't seen mentioned are...

Archer

Bob's Burgers

Bones

Psych

White Colar

Burn Notice

Watch Archer and Bob back to back, Main characters are voiced by the same guy, so you start laughing when you realize you're watching one show and not the other.

I was watching a recent episode of Family Guy (I think) and heard the same voice. Couldn't help but laugh.

I would 100% recommend Breaking Bad. The ending still gives me chills. Great show!

Excellent show! I always thought Bryan Cranston was talented. I remember him back when he was a guest on Seinfeld. I will say that Breaking Bad starts off slow in the first season but it really takes off by the end of the first season. I rarely see a show like that, which continues to get better each season.

The Walking Dead is good, but the pacing isn't for everyone. It's very stop-go with the action and gore. That seems to put some folks off.

Jessica Jones is a good show. I'm tempted to check out Daredevil; I heard there's a crossover of the two shows.

BTW, Better Call Saul was also good. Not nearly as violent (so far) as Breaking Bad and it's funny. IMO, Bob Odendirk is another underrated actor too. That show should be on Netflix soon, I'd imagine.

I know this thread is a bit older, so I am sure I am duplicating prior responses. But going to go ahead and throw my votes in anyway. The Blacklist is absolutely effing fantastic. So is Breaking Bad. Can't recommend either one of those enough. Lost is another great one to watch.

EDIT: I'm also going to recommend adding a Hulu subscription to your roster. Brooklyn Nine-Nine and How to Get Away with Murder are my two top picks there.

    • Definite usage quirks in hunting down these sites with a rainbow sim in a s24 ultra. Fell into a hole yesterday so sent off to T-Mobile purgatory. Try my various techniques. No Dish. Get within binocular range of former Sprint colocation and can see Dish equipment. Try to manually set network and everybody but no Dish is listed.  Airplane mode, restart, turn on and off sim, still no Dish. Pull upto 200ft from site straight on with antenna.  Still no Dish. Get to manual network hunting again on phone, power off phone for two minutes. Finally see Dish in manual network selection and choose it. Great signal as expected. I still think the 15 minute rule might work but lack patience. (With Sprint years ago, while roaming on AT&T, the phone would check for Sprint about every fifteen minutes. So at highway speed you could get to about the third Sprint site before roaming would end). Using both cellmapper and signalcheck.net maps to hunt down these sites. Cellmapper response is almost immediate these days (was taking weeks many months ago).  Their idea of where a site can be is often many miles apart. Of course not the same dataset. Also different ideas as how to label a site, but sector details can match with enough data (mimo makes this hard with its many sectors). Dish was using county spacing in a flat suburban area, but is now denser in a hilly richer suburban area.  Likely density of customers makes no difference as a poorer urban area with likely more Dish customers still has country spacing of sites.
    • Mike if you need more Dish data, I have been hunting down sites in western Columbus.  So far just n70 and n71 reporting although I CA all three.
    • Good catch! I meant 115932/119932. Edited my original post I've noticed the same thing lately and have just assumed that they're skipping it now because they're finally able to deploy mmWave small cells.
