CDMA2000 devices to access EV-DO-based data services (or SVDO)

Quoted from, RCR.  Is this even possible?

"The group also introduced a device enhancement called simultaneous 1X Voice and EV-DO Data (or SVDO) that will allow CDMA2000 devices to access EV-DO-based data services while callers are in an active 1X voice call. In simple terms, this will enable a caller to perform a packet-data function, like downloading a file, while they are on a voice call."

Right. Not possible on Triband devices.

It is possible -- just not worth the added cost, extra engineering, and reduced RF performance.  The rest of the world uses single radio handsets.  The single radio paradigm shift with tri band handsets brought Sprint in line with SoftBank and the rest of the world.  Otherwise, Sprint never would have gotten the likes of the Nexus 5 and Nexus 6.

Single Radio in my phone? I want 5 radios in my phone and a deep cycle marine battery on a cart behind me to power it all.
