For the tens of people paying for Tidal high fidelity on Sprint that are concerned about Sprint's new unlimited plan capping music streaming at 500Kbps.  Tidal has its own issues.

Not so good for Tidal.

I know a few weeks ago I discussed the audio issue with several people here. To note though, while I support HiFi audio streaming services whether they be used on Sprint, etc., I'm not a huge fan of Tidal itself. It is limited to CD-quality at 16-bit, not 24-bit or 32-bit, and its music library is limited compared to the lossy audio streaming services. I'd love to see more competition and I know eventually there will be. However, Tidal unfortunately is the best there is now, and it may not be around much longer if it keeps having troubles.

I know its semantic but Sprint is touting a 375% increase in sales of the iphone 7 compared to last year...iphone 7 wasn't available last year. So yeah...there will be a big uptick in sales kinda like how there will be a 100% increase in rain when there is a hurricane.

That's totally pedantic. They are comparing preorder sales between this year and last. iPhone 7, 7+ to iPhone 6s, 6s+.

LOL. Must be slow news week if people are still thinking about this. I'm just pointing out that a multi-billion dollar corporation rarely releases press releases without some sort of editing or proofreading process.

So this means that Sprint must have purposefully released their statement without specifically stating as compared to iphone 6s,6s+ preorders. The, however slight, vagueness means one could read between the lines if they were so inclined.

That being said...I do believe it is as compared to iphone 6s preorders which is welcome news. But just like Professor Frink the press release makes me laugh, makes me think. https://vimeo.com/77464631

Quite a bit of 10x10 b25 towers also. Not as fast as I thought they would be though. Under 5 mbps most of the time but it still works. B41 was speedy.

Apparently it was a plan for the iPhone 6, but some upgraders are being forced to do a plan change. Probably won't make some people happy.

I didn't run into that exact issue, but did have to call and use the automated phone system to activate my parents two new iPhones last night.

No, anyone with any semblance of comprehension skills understood what it meant.

I don't understand why Sprint is so slow at 10x10 spectrum, unless many customers are on it, rather than being on band 41. Perhaps try contacting Sprint about this?

I could say the same on the Tmo 20x20 site nearby that runs under 1Mbps download at peak times, yet is nearly 20Mbps upload.  Yes...lots of customers.

I seen eight different b25 10x10 towers and none broke over 12mbps. It was strange

10 X 10 is not nearly enough for a busy neighborhood.

I've had AT&T for a few months now, and usually get over 10mbps. AT&T's network here in Chicago mostly is comprised of a bunch of 10x10 bands. Currently, my AT&T connection is AWS and testing on Speedtest it is 21.10mbps down and 3.65mbps up, with SignalCheck reading at -115.

AT&T is just great here using my Sony Xperia XA Ultra, which doesn't even support AT&T's 10x10 band 30 and 10x10 band 66. The LG V20 does, and since the network experience already is great, it'll be even greater then with the V20.

A pretty complimentary article from rcrwireless:

http://www.rcrwireless.com/20160919/carriers/kagan-sprint-comeback

It's about time the tech press started taking Sprint seriously.

I agree with you. It's about time.

I think the AMA that Günther did also helped get Sprint noticed by the press and taken seriously. RCR Wireless had a nice article about it as well.

I don't ever see B25 anymore, it's either B41 mainly or B26 when neither B25/B41 can't reach. No more 3G either it's great.

Same here. Atlanta. But actually much faster than Philly took. Wtf is "3G?"

In the northern part of the Philly market here, I'd say at least the last year I am pretty much on LTE all the time. Even out in the boonies where I live. The only time I see 3G is when I'm inside a store or large building. And even then, more often than not it's LTE.

Seems tmo is getting more confident in that they are calling out how many ports from each carrier in this quarter. Unless I've missed it from previously announced quarters.

The numbers are in line with what they had last year.  The number for Sprint could be misleading since they are targeting Sprint customers to go to prepaid.  Nevertheless, Tmo is still growing.  We will see what the rest of the carriers have to say.

I expect Sprint to add around 250k in phone postpaid, but we will see.
