3xCA max. Then split the from 8t8r into two 4t4r and run a different 2x / 3xCA on the second sector using different frequencies.

Future phones are capable of like up to 5xCA but the eNB have hardware limits on how much spectrum each port supports.

Why 2 4t4r? Why not 28t8r? Wouldnt at total of 16t16r allow for better experience?

I see you're quick to volunteer your wallet to fund such equipment to replace the existing year or two year old 8t8r equipment.

When's the Clearwire (Samsung) Dual Mode equipment, which is now supporting a second B41 carrier, getting swapped out for 8T8R equipment for 2xCA?

In your post you stated split from 8t8r to 2 4t4r??

Why not just add another 8t8r?

Unless I miss read it wouldn't it cost money to take down 8t8r and replace with a 4?

Huawei goes first. Samsung will be swapped out on a case by case scenario. The vendors would love to have their own macro sites overlaid first before completely replace the working 2.5 Samsung clear sites.

I believe Florida was a Samsung market for Wimax correct?

Thanks. What percentage of the WiMAX sites are Huawei?

I am sure that the higher ups at Sprint have visited this site numerous times. In fact, I would be shocked if they had not read through it. Part of being a CEO is not only knowing your customer, but knowing about your rivals and the general public. Marcelo most likely searches for news about Sprint and his competitors daily. I mainly read this site a lot and have since the WiMAX days, but I post far less now, just because of life.

Everyone on this site has been critical of Sprint at one time or another. Judging from a lot of your posts, I know that you change wireless carriers quite frequently, or it at least seems this way. While you may be critical of the article, many analysts are starting to see light at the end of the tunnel so to speak. It is still going to be a tricky road, much like the road T-Mobile is on as well. It is a very competitive field right now and T-Mobile also has to look out for dropping ARPU.

I'm finally back on a mobile device now, and can see how my previous few posts have been long, wow! I'll keep this short though, and try to spread out what I have to say among posts, rather than so much at once.

I definitely have switched carriers more than I would have liked. I'm mostly now pretty much settled on haVing T-Mobile now though, considering the great deal they gave me and all they've done. My only concern with it is if my health needs become greater than the coverage TM has. Coverage is becoming an important near priority for me.

I want the best for Sprint and definitely don't mean to be critical of those who've left or have stayed with, etc. Everyone has their own needs and priorities, which hopefully Sprint does read this site and takes notice of that what is written here. This site is quite helpful.

Whats the difference on tbe CA-Add and ACT?

Sent from my SM-G928P using Tapatalk

Assuming act stands for active then act probably means there is and active data session where add just means the carrier is aggregated but the data session is idle.

That's a bummer.

Clear LTE equipment is terrible. I've been to Las Vegas were 8t8r was deployed and it worked pretty well. Only time I lost 2.5 was inside Casino floors and inside the rooms. Outside of that, Band 41 LTE was everywhere I drove around Las Vegas.

In areas such as Houston, Austin, and San Antonio, Band 41 from Clearwire sites have some terrible Signal to Noise ratio. RSRP can go from -90 dBm outdoors and then drop to Band 25 as soon as you go indoors.

One additional basic question: Why do the vendors want to have their own macro sites overlaid first before replacing the 2.5 Samsung Clear sites?

The new 8T8R equipment, combined with Carrier Aggregation and Beamforming are a substantial improvement over the Clear equipment.

See the charts in this Blog Post by John Saw, Sprint CTO, which illustrate that LTE Plus devices that support 2xCA and Beamforming have better coverage, even at the Cell Edge.

Putting their own equipment over sprint sites expands b41 lte coverage further than clear ever did. Thus there is an overall expansion of b41 lte so more people can use faster speeds instead of these random Hotspot here and there.

Samsung clear b41 equipment are capable of the same advanced beam forming and other lte advance technologies. It's just not as good as 8t8r equipment.

Does this speed see right for a CA tower. I had full signal and no one waa around ? Shouldn't it get closer to 100? Not saying thtas bad i figured 2xCA would be better? Could it be the back haul? I have a hard time getting over 50 anywhere.

I assume after you did the test you dropped to Band 25? Also, you have confirmed that you did indeed have a CA connection?

Speeds can be affect by a number of factors. There could be interference if you are very close or far from the site. If backhaul to the site is not provisioned high enough, it can limited speeds. For example, if it is still provisioned for Band 25 channels, the peak speed per carrier may still be in the 30s, thus your result of 67, I know you said you had full signal, what are you basing that off of?

Thanks. Can the Samsung Clear equipment do 2xCA?
