I never took marketing.

Will sprint have a plan for single moms? That's certainly a relevant indicator of someone's life.

I'm not sure if you're serious, but I'll play along...

A commercial may show how a phone could be useful for everyday tasks that a single mom may use/need. For example, a commercial showing Sprint Family Locator and how a mother can see where her children are located at all times may strongly appeal to single-moms who work 9 to 5 jobs.

Now use the same commercial and show it to a young, single, educated male...you think the commercial will appeal to him?

Cause Softbank+Sprint is more/less worthy of backing than DT+Tmobile

;)

You are out of order, maximus -- unless you believe the conspiracy theorists that S4GRU is some Sprint funded, money making venture for Robert.

Actually, I take that back.  Either way, you and your response to my post are out of order.

S4GRU is the antithesis of "astroturfing," which is fake, paid, or quid pro quo grassroots support.  S4GRU is honest to goodness grassroots support.  Members donate just to be here, to keep S4GRU alive.  Meanwhile, staffers donate their time or work and do not get paid a dime.  Staffers even contribute monetarily to S4GRU.

And I, for one, have put in thousands of hours on articles, posts, maps, databases, etc.  A lot of that has been for S4GRU, but much of that predates S4GRU -- by almost a decade.  Regardless, never have I taken any money or favors from anyone in the wireless industry.  I do the work of my own accord and give it away for free.  The idea that my work here in regards to Sprint could be compared to "astroturfing" is insulting or flat out stupid.

So, put that in your pipe and smoke it...

I'm new here as a member, though I've been reading posts/threads here for several months, having spent plenty of hours learning from people who take the time to thoughtfully contribute to this site, many of whom have unknowingly given me so much knowledge that has helped me learn how not only to make a wise decision regarding wireless choices, but also helped to expand my ability to really think things through on all things I might want to buy, in being more patient when it comes to purchasing decisions and weigh all the pros and cons much better than before, among other really helpful ideas and of course, education about the wireless industry and wireless tech.

S4GRU has done a wonderful job of that, and has done so not only about Sprint, despite this being a Sprint-based site. In fact, I find S4GrU less bias towards anything than those sites marketed on being unbiased. Nevertheless, those sites do provide a wealth of information too, among fan-based websites, such as TmoNews, though as someone who as come to loathing T-Mobile, as I have, I try to avoid too much bias where I can.

The other thing about this, is, all of these wireless sites have some form of liability and the need to protect themselves from the bad aspects of it. Fan sites and backroom information sites, such as S4GRU have very good systems in place to make sure of their overall online wellness from such instances where people could claim such things of insider deals and possibly secret investments/ownerships. Surely any site that has privileged information of such, is something people are going to question as a possible tool of any particular company it supports, content-wise, but that also can be a clear sign of just the opposite.

If S4GRU, for instance, really was funded/secretly supported by Sprint, wouldn't Sprint find a unique way to integrate this site into their business somehow, rather than just have it be a specialist sort of site, as it is now? I can imagine Sprint marketing this site as such and doing very well at it. Oh, and for those who might respond to that by saying crap like "Sprint can't do anything unique, blah blah", which while I'd disagree with that, then take TmoNews for example. I doubt many people could say that site wouldn't better be served as part of T-mobile's "Uncrappier 10 or 11" (Sorry, my bias against T-Mobile shining through). Though to be fair to T-Mobile, TmoNews would do wonders as part of it, and I even think they'd have some great ideas for it being part of their plans.

Anyways, this is to go along with AJ's point about the ridiculousness of such conspiracies, as they just don't make sense with how things are in reality to what we can clearly see of such sites online.

I'm still shocked and amazed how successful S4GRU has been in staying online, remaining relevant and keeping quality members and staff all with member donations from a relatively small pool. When we look back from where we came from, it is unbelievable and against all odds.

If any of you ever saw our old boards hosted by Spruz before February 2012, and how organic and poorly funded S4GRU was in its infancy, man, there is no way in the world anyone could ever think this was backed by a legitimate corporation.

This site started funding out of my pocket, it was stoked by early investment from AJ who helped shore up the first year's funding at critical times of low cash flow, and has been carried by our members ever since. The dedication of our staff and the generous nature of our members is both humbling and inspiring.

I give up so much personal time to keep S4GRU going, as does our staff, and our dedicated members. It is amazing how much work our members put into their Sponsor and Premier Sponsor market threads. Providing on the ground reports and observations, maps, pictures, logs, etc.

Times like this when I have to take a moment and think about it all, I'm left in awe. Thank you all. We will keep this going as long as you all want to. To keep the discussion going, keep the content moving and keep the sites finances paid. There is no place like S4GRU anywhere. Except for maybe one day, T4GRU. :)

Thanks to a lot of you guys I have gained a lot of knowledge and info over the last year I've been coming to this site. Thanks Robert for getting and keeping the show going, along with AJ and a few of the others that make this site a pleasure to visit multiple times a day.

Not that I don't agree with everyone and thanking all the staff plus other individuals for all their hard work and effort given into this site, and all of their knowledge they have so gracefully shared, but can we start getting this thread back onto topic?

In less than a week Sprint will post their 1Q 2015 earning, what are some hopes/predictions? Do you think they may disucss the Hispanic demographic regarding the addition of Roger Solé, or maybe see new plans, updates on their network? I would like to see some postpaid additions, even if it isn't a lot. I would also like to here more news about their network and what they are planning on for the future.

Hopefully they will discuss the status of Projects Ocean and Cedar, officially announce (and provide some details on) the network expansion that we know is being planned, and maybe at least hint on the plan for the former Clearwire sites. I would also expect some mention on the SprintShack stores although they probably won't have had much of an effect on the quarter.

I'd like goals for 2x aggregation EoY coverage.

2x CA is already nearing the end of the FIT stage.

How long after FIT stage will we see 2x CA live?

Not sure to be honest, but I think we'll start seeing nationwide second B41 carrier being onair first.

Activating second carrier (without CA) requires no fit, correct?

Just inserting the card, running a config script and it's online.

Not even that hard. Adding carriers and activating CA is all done remotely via software updates/config changes.
