Preorders start tomorrow, sprint yet to announce it yet. Doesn't go on sale til Oct 17th though :-( .. Such a bummer. Been wanting this so bad and now another month to wait. Bleh. http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/09/18/samsung-galaxy-note-4-pre-orders-begin-september-19th-retail-availability-on-october-17th/

No mention of Sprint. Resume holding pattern.

If it ends up being only CAT 4, people should sue for false advertising. The add says Cat 4 or Cat 6, not only Cat 4 or only Cat 6. Maybe then they'd bother making their phone pages accurate for the specific carrier.  :P

S4GRU alliance for CA enabled devices will file suit.

Interesting offer.  I wonder if the handset would have to be active to trade in.  That maybe wouldn't be a great deal for a Note II, might be able to get more on eBay, but buy a cheap used handset worth $10+ and trade that in?  Hmm.

Wow, that's awesome. I was going to hang on to my S2 / 4g Touch, but if I can really get Samsung to give me $200, I'll take it. Reading it, it looks like a loophole might be if Best Buy won't accept my phone at all as a trade in.

as long as they give you $10 you will get a check for the difference is the way I understand it?

I've been checking Best Buy Trade In website and found a couple of phone I can purchase for about $40 to trade in.  $160 net gain. I was not sure about the Note 4 but this is sure sweetening the pot.

I had been planning to keep my s3 as a back up in case anything happened to one of our phones but with a power button going nuts and a $$ incentive it is as good as gone.  Now if we could just speed this launch up a few weeks!

Yeah I wonder how the Pre order will go vs. just showing up on release day?  Do they ship the same day or should be received by that day?  I don't want to wait for it but the extra cash on the trade may just be worth it.  Also other than the Monte Blanc pen any word if there will be a Pen style accessory like the note 3 had or if the s pen is the same size if the current one will work?  If so I know what I am using some of the rebate on.  Hopefully the 50% off an accessory promo is still on then too.

I wonder if you can trade in an old EVO wimax get the $200 total credit and do easy pay.

The way the ad is worded, Samsung won't honor it unless you can get at least $10 in trade in credit. Sprint won't let me check without a serial number, but Best Buy offers $8 at most for it.

Wonder also if you can trade in at one place, then buy at another.  So trade at BB, and order online at Sprint for example.

Based on a current S5 promo, has to be on same receipt, but not sure how that would work on a preorder??

Unfortunately the links that are supposed to be on the N4 page for the T&C don't link to anything.

I guess no Note 4 for me. Between this and the Moto x im so distressed that Sprint doesn't have a device that moves me yet. I was ready to buy a new device in October for myself. HTC is my last hope!

Yikes, CNET says Sprint's price will be $350 on 2 year con

Oh well, out goes the low price leader marketing approach.   Spoke too soon.

Well maybe there's still hope.   The gotta be mobile link also says black and white will be the only colors at launch, and the colors may be exclusives - I'm guessing the gold is for sprint?

What dissuaded you from the N4?

Confirmation of cat 4  modem from press page. I'll  keep an eye on it but it's not an auto buy as it once could have been.

    • Has anyone checked Verizon n77 in areas with more than 100MHZ active? This spectrum has been fully available since August of last year.  Of course they are not typically using SA.
    • I updated my other s21 ultra factory unlocked to the latest firmware... It behaves like the S24 Ultra n38 or n41 depending on 80 or 100MHz or their nr- arfcn.
    • I see everything correct. The two ARFCN's you mentioned earlier and they idenitify as n-41.  using 4.832b SCP. Only using one TM SIM.
    • I posted this in the Nebraska Premier thread last week, but just wanted to share in this thread the progress that T-Mobile has made in filling in the great coverage gap known as Nebraska. Between late last year and this year, they have added 28 new expansion sites filling in the coverage hole, plus 11 Sprint site conversions in eastern Nebraska and far western Iowa. Notably, in the last month n41 coverage was added on over a dozen expansion sites in western Nebraska that were added to the network last year. For comparison, here is the very first map that I created in October of 2022 after we noted expansion sites outside of Sprint conversion in Lincoln and Omaha. It doesn't show any western parts of the state, but just know there was nothing besides roaming coverage and a little B12 coverage leaking down from South Dakota to the west of Valentine, NE.
    • Sent a copy of my DB in an e-mail just now.  Couldn't leave the house today but can hopefully get a screenshot when I'm out on another cell site tomorrow.
