Impossible. How can SQUARE feet be in a circle? That's crazy talk.

It's an approximate of actual coverage in terms of radius from the point of origin (Airave). So yes, it can still be calculated in square feet.

You are, of course, correct. But Sprint is referring to a 5,000 sq ft as your average person would. 70 feet in any direction is about all one can hope for.

So what happens when you are in a multistory building? What is the cubic footage of the Airrave?

I say Airave has only one "r" and you say it has two. We will just have to agree to disagree.

I don't know why I keep coming back to this thread. It's like thread porn for me. I can't get enough!

I get three pings/beeps when placing a call. I used to think this was an airave connection but recently it has been happening more often and in places that an airave should not be present. Does anybody know what this is?

You may already know this, but you can verify whether or not you're connected to an Airave by calling *99

If you are connected, you'll hear a looping voice message that says 'You are now within Airave coverage'

If you're not, it will say 'The feature code is not available', or something along those lines.

Give that a try next time you hear the beeps.

Is that all they can reach? That isn't worth much to me, especially when I count interference with metal wall framing and window tint blocking signals already. :(

Yup. In my experience they only reach about two hundred feet. I'm sure the y can hit 500 unobstructed, which is still pretty good when you compare it to wifi signals.

If you are going to be a member of S4GRU, you should.

I carry a 200 ft tape measure around with me, but it is fiberglass tape. Anyone know where I can get a good steel tape? LOL

The longest steel tape I have ever seen is 25'. I have a 100ft fiberglass tape measure. It is awesome to carry around.
