Who's got a break down of known, or reputably rumored soon to be Spark devices? I heard the S4 was going to be re-released with Spark capability. Any word on something along the lines of the Note 3 being redone? That is the only thing holding me back from getting the Note 3 when my upgrade is available in March. I'm not looking for Samsung exclusively, although it might appear that way. I just like the Note form factor.

The Spark enabled S4 is already out. The LG Flex is coming really soon. In a few months you have the HTC M8, the new S5 and the iPhone 6 is a wildcard as to whether or not it'd be Spark enabled or not.

Any info out there on a Moto spark device.  That is what I am really looking forward too.  

 

Nothing at this moment in time that we are aware of. If we do find something soon, then it would sure be a good thing. Only Spark devices so far are LG, Samsung, and 1 HTC.

I'd like to get my hands on a "budget" LTE800/1900 handset, if only for the purpose of checking for possible LTE 800 signals in my area, and testing the LTE800 strength/coverage/performance.  I looked at a Nexus 5, but they are simply too expensive, even pre-owned.

Actually, my wife says she never uses the physical keyboard anymore. Guess you were right in the first place.

Keyboards are becoming less and less popular as touch screens have become more precise. It's just how things are going.

With the talks of markets going live with lte 800 and band 41 through the rest of this year, is any one aware of any devices capable of the aggregation on lte bands?  It looks like the current tri band phones can connect to the individual bands but are not yet capable of being connected to the bands simultaneously.  The only thing I have found so far is the ATT galaxy s5 will be capable with their bands.

Moto X refresh not expected until August time frame - I wouldn't expect rumors until closer to then.

 

With the talks of markets going live with lte 800 and band 41 through the rest of this year, is any one aware of any devices capable of the aggregation on lte bands?  It looks like the current tri band phones can connect to the individual bands but are not yet capable of being connected to the bands simultaneously.  The only thing I have found so far is the ATT galaxy s5 will be capable with their bands.   

 

No carrier aggregation capable handsets have been announced for Sprint thus far.  Spark / Tri-band is currently limited to a single LTE band at a time I believe.

Sprint said about a month ago that the first CA devices were expected toward the end of 2014.

Fantastic news! As much as I would like to get the S5 to replace my S3 I think I will wait till the Note 4 to see what that brings. Worst case scenario is the Note isn't what I hoped for and the S5 is next to free by then.

I want to say the Padfone X will suppirt carrier aggregation on AT&T.

That does look pretty neat. Didn't Motorola do something like that before?

      Definite usage quirks in hunting down these sites with a rainbow sim in a s24 ultra. Fell into a hole yesterday so sent off to T-Mobile purgatory. Try my various techniques. No Dish. Get within binocular range of former Sprint colocation and can see Dish equipment. Try to manually set network and everybody but no Dish is listed.  Airplane mode, restart, turn on and off sim, still no Dish. Pull upto 200ft from site straight on with antenna.  Still no Dish. Get to manual network hunting again on phone, power off phone for two minutes. Finally see Dish in manual network selection and choose it. Great signal as expected. I still think the 15 minute rule might work but lack patience. (With Sprint years ago, while roaming on AT&T, the phone would check for Sprint about every fifteen minutes. So at highway speed you could get to about the third Sprint site before roaming would end). Using both cellmapper and signalcheck.net maps to hunt down these sites. Cellmapper response is almost immediate these days (was taking weeks many months ago).  Their idea of where a site can be is often many miles apart. Of course not the same dataset. Also different ideas as how to label a site, but sector details can match with enough data (mimo makes this hard with its many sectors). Dish was using county spacing in a flat suburban area, but is now denser in a hilly richer suburban area.  Likely density of customers makes no difference as a poorer urban area with likely more Dish customers still has country spacing of sites.

      Mike if you need more Dish data, I have been hunting down sites in western Columbus.  So far just n70 and n71 reporting although I CA all three.

      Good catch! I meant 115932/119932. Edited my original post I've noticed the same thing lately and have just assumed that they're skipping it now because they're finally able to deploy mmWave small cells.
