Android 4.3 Release date for sprint

It comes from Google's servers actually and is a staged rollout. You can download the zip yourself straight from Google's servers and force the update if you can't wait.

No it won't. It's not rooting or anything. It's the official update. It's exactly the same way it would update as if you waited

APN does not stand for wireless access point.

 

Thanks for the SignalCheck screenshot.. disappointed it doesn't automatically show the GCI or PCI like we hoped.

Curious if the S4 users will start seeing the GCI on LTE in SignalCheck like the AT&T version does.

 

With z250kid's help, I confirmed that Sprint's S4 on 4.3 still does not utilize any of the LTE functions in the Android API. Very disappointing, especially since AT&T's model is doing it.

So the update never came on the 6th, but supposedly it's dropping sometime this afternoon.   It's gonna be a while.

I guess we'll see for sure.  I spoke to a Sprint agent yesterday and he said that the 6th didn't happen for sure, but didn't know an official release date yet.

Just like with PRLs, Android updates aren't rolled out by location.

my gnes now has 4.3.  I am disappointed in google though.  They announce that 4.4 can run on devices with 512 megs of ram..yet they hang onto their 18 month window so the gnex isn't going to get it(along with a ton of other phones that could uget it).

The GNex not getting 4.4 has nothing to do work the RAM. It has more to do with the fact that TI dropped out of the mobile chip business. I don't think Google wants to get in the business of driver support for an end of the line chipset. Wasting resources on a train wreck of a phone is probably not top of their priority list.

ok..i've yet to see any announcements of other phones capable of running 4.4 getting it..like my mach..or my sg2..how about the nexus 1 or nexus 4?  I know much of this is on the handset makers..but what about other nexus devices?
