Yeah, pretty sketchy on Samsung's part. Still a beast of a phone though.

maybe its me, but without the boost benchmarks, the Note 3 still beats anything in the list. So no big deal, plus I agree with what Fraydog said two posts back.

I don't think it's shady at all. It's not like Samsung is overclocking the parts. Samsung is just showcasing the full potential of the SOC inside.

 

And there is no point of going full throttle when not benchmarking to save heat, battery, and increase component longevity.

Well The galaxy note 3 will be my choice only if and i mean if the Galaxy note 3 active does not come to sprint. (ill be pissed)

But now with the galaxy note 3 active confirmed and supposed to be shown next week im going to wait a week. Check the links if you  want. They are about the galaxy note 3 active. Im also hoping the GN3A has triband support.

Oh interesting, thanks for the links. The Note 3 active is going to be a flexible display and limited availability apparently.

 

Now too bad the FCC is shut down and it sounds like the FCC document guru's on here won't be able to get any info on this right now. Or have you guys already seen this device documents? Not sure how Samsung would/could release this fairly soon without the FCC operating normally.

 

The phone sounds great so far...if it is tri-band. *crosses fingers but doubts it seriously for some reason

Same here.  I have my doubts that it will make it to America especially if its new technology.  I think it would be wise for Samsung and LG to test out the flexible display demand and performance in Korea first before making it available internationally.

If you notice in the 2nd article it mentioned that the LG devise will have LTE-A. That's not available stateside.

One of the uses of benchmarks is to compare one device to another for regular use (normal power management settings) . Now how useful a benchmark actually is in that regard is certainly debatable. But if some devices up throttle while other don't, that sort of defeats the purpose.
