Looky what just arrived

Done.

Guys, experimentation for the sake of knowledge is fine.  Heck, we encourage it.  But my spidey sense is tingling here.   At least one of you is probably trying to get "unlimited" LTE data on a tri

Response to our offer on the MiFi 500 LTE by Novatel Wireless this week was so great that we have depleted our inventory. Please don’t worry though, we have a shipment already en route to us. We just wanted to send you a courtesy email to let you know why your phone hasn’t shipped yet.

......

We are normally pretty good at predicting our inventory but the demand for the MiFi 500 LTE by Novatel Wireless even surprised us.

^ Courtesy Email i just received from Wirefly...Wonder why they are surprised..

Yeah I got the email from Wirefly saying that it is temporarily OOS.  But it got approved.  I wonder how long the delay will be.

Is everyone that ordered one and got theirs shipped in a wimax coverage area? Maybe their cancelling orders for MiFi's that don't have any triband coverage.

I don't have any 4G/LTE coverage at all. Springfield, MO.

Mine got canceled as well, it said it was approved but they were out of stock at first.

So are you saying all your orders got cancelled or just your 2nd and 3rd orders did?  Maybe they cancelled your orders due to multiple entries?

I made two orders and both seem to have been approved just waiting on stock to be replenished and then they will ship.

They all got canceled. I told my friend about it, and his got canceled about the same time as mine.

I tried a different address and different credit card, but it got canceled again

I was thinking of making a 2nd order but after hearing your story, I might just stick to one.  If I were to make a 2nd order and it got approved, I would have just used it to give to someone else here that wasn't able to get one.

Maybe they are just canceling them since they are out of stock. Even sprint doesn't have them in stock right now.

Can we get a new thread for all this MiFi device offer chatter? It's rather distracting for thread followers who care not about the specific offer and about the frequency deployment in general.

can one of the mods edit the original post to add something to the effect of;

yes the device is free.

You still have to activate it with a sprint plan to use it, either a month to month plan or contract.

wirefly.com > phones & devices > hotspots > select mifi500 > select replacement device

if you want to see what plans are available, select new account and 'change this plan' near the add to cart button.

the only month to month plan listed is 3 gig.

response has been mixed, several have reported being cancelled, while others have been notified of being shipped.

    • I've seen n41 in rural-ish areas already, plus some B41 on sites that were 25/26 only a year ago. They seem to be getting better about not just deploying a single band in places, though from what I've seen the more rural setup appears to be whatever B/n71 they have, plus a 5x5 B2 carrier to use as an NR anchor. Narrower bandwidths go further, hence running 5x5 when they definitely have the spectrum for more.
    • So, my home connection has changed, and NOT for the better. I can hope this represents some temporary status during a changeover . . . Update: back on Sprint B26 with download of 15Mbps
    • Figures, I check every day to see if the LG V60 has an update and the one day I didn't an update is issued. Lol  Thanks, updating now. Will check signalcheckpro to see if any info is missing on my end.
    • The unusual factor is the Band 41 holdings in the primary county for each of the 3 New York cities.  T-Mobile effectively owns all Band 41 in Albany, where they are also getting 60Mhz of n77.  Where as in the n77 20Mhz markets for Rochester and Syracuse, Krisar, Inc. - George W. Bott fragments the n41 spectrum.  In Rochester they could do 100Mhz and 40Mhz.  Syracuse is 60Mhz plus 20Mhz and 20Mhz.
    • Hmm that looks like NSA 5G with LTE information missing, since there is no 5G cell identity info.. but who knows. Send a diagnostic and I'll see if it's hiding anything good behind the scenes!
