You wouldn't think that is too smart' date=' but all the carriers do it. At VZW I had sites that were a chain of 4 or 5 if memory serves. When those paths went down it was a problem. Especially when one of the sites was up on Mt. Taylor. Winter, not so much fun.[/quote']

We had a relay site that fed 8 stubs located on Mt Baldy in Idaho. No access during some winter months and the rest was helicopter or snowmobile only. Lets say it proved to be problematic. T1 backups were a life saver for the stub sites!
