Next group of rumored cities to launch Tmobile LTE

Recommended Posts

That is nothing more than coincidence due to site distance. The other operators simply have at least one closer site -- possibly, all three are collocated on the same site. In other locations, the shoe will be on the other foot, as Sprint has the closer site. And that is just one of the vagaries of wireless service.

True AJ,

I do know we have AT&T antennas

On my job site. As for the other 3 careers? I don't know where their antennas are located

Have you at least used our maps to determine where the closest Sprint sites are located?

I'm on a business trip to Chantilly/Herndon, VA right now... And I must say, T-mobile appears to have gotten better here...

I've hit 29 Mbps down, 3.5 Mbps up over DC-H+, though at the moment I'm "only" getting 15/3 (could be due to the older radio that I flashed on my Nexus 4 to get back LTE support). Still waiting on LTE, though I'm told it's coming very, very soon here. I half expect it to be slower than the top speeds on H+, at least for downloads, because they may go with a 5MHz carrier here (hopefully not though).

I think there is some QoS going on as many of us seem to be rate limited to about 15.5Mbps on the downlink on HSPA+42. Could be account related, as there seem to be some prioritization of 5 and 10GB plans over unlimited/unthrottled. 15Mbps is still noting to cry about.

I see T-Mobile is turning it's LTE on in parts of NYC, I guess a launch shouldn't be too far away.

T-Mobile has good LTE density. They also have LTE in those new cellular activated subway stations but so does AT&T. Sprint and Verizon are going to lauch LTE underground next.

    • Another beta update to SignalCheck Pro is rolling out! Version 4.614b will appear on Google Play sometime over the next several hours. More 5G improvements, the accent color should be fixed, and several Samsung shortcut menus were added. Samsung users, please try all of the new shortcuts and let me know which ones are useful and what they lead to. Thank you!
    • No, unfortunately I haven't seen any useful 5G info from your phone (or anyone else's LG) yet. If you get a software update and happen to find 5G before they shut it down, please try reporting again! The accent color is still in its infancy and only appears on LTE for now. I've had it on my version of SCP for several weeks, initially I didn't think anyone else would like it. Figured I'd offer it up and see what the feedback was.
    • I accidentally broke the Samsung menus when I compiled the latest release; it will be resolved in next update.   Thanks, I'll look into that.. it's all a work in progress, glad we are making some headway!   The current display format is temporary, it is just to get the data displaying reliably.. once that happens, it will get its own "block" like the connection other technologies have.
    • I forgot to post this this morning. Seems that Sprint will offer the V60. My buddy at Sprint HQ says more will be said Monday. Lets see if this pans out.   TS out
    • Another suggestion, can you place the 5G info above the neighbor cell list? In dense urban areas with 5x CA there will easily be enough neighbor cells to push the 5G info off the screen. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
