got this from the west des moines Marriott tower, thats newly live with B41, tonight!     fastest i've ever seen from sprint in the des moines metro area!

I just wonder if it's the tower on that's not far to South side of East University and East Delaware?

 

I don't know the area by you were on the north sector when you posted the screenshot.  Based on a little reverse engineering I'd say the site ID is close to the one that is Dean/Williams.  There are two 3G/800 ones in that area.

I was at the fairgrounds, then drove from there North to Guthrie and West to the freeway then North. I carried the signal the whole way until the freeway then gone.  Phys cell ID 287, Cell Identity of 127935234.  (iPhone5)  When I snapped screen I was sitting at Fairgrounds and got Avg RSRP -67.50 and Measured RSRP of -99.00  This was all about 5:30pm - 5:40pm or around that.

I will be at the fairgrounds for a while again tomorrow so I will keep an eye on things to see if I can get another reading, I will also try to take a couple diff routes to see what I can pickup elsewhere to pinpoint better.

Yea I kinda wondered if they were testing today and burning in (or forgot) it tonight. I also wondered if there was ways that they test on a low power or without kicking on an amp which then would make it a weak signal until you get even closer to the actual tower.   Isn't the Phys cell tell that it's two diff sites we've seen today around the Metro 102 & 287 ?

 

Assuming they aren't testing a site, and that this site is live now, I'd expect an acceptance report shortly. That would pinpoint it pretty well. Then well have you guys pull serving cells.

That's the same site as the 102 except you were on the gamma sector. 

 

127935232 DEC - HEX 07A02300 = GCI the PCI is 102

127935233 DEC - HEX 07A02301 = GCI the PCI is ???

127935234 DEC - HEX 07A02302 = GCI the PCI is 287

I was in Ames earlier on Welch Ave, where I normally have 5 bars of 3G signal, but instead I was on "Extended 3G" (aka roaming) the entire time. Could possibly mean there's some tower work being done. I won't be back in Ames for a couple weeks though, so I won't be able to follow up until then.

can you get a screenshot from your engineering screen? you should be able to get to it from the system shortcuts in signal check pro. it looks like your phone is connected to 3G, not 4G. there is a bug where old LTE data will show in signalcheck on some phones, i wonder if thats what you are seeing.....

Got LTE out side Gordmens on the east side right in front of the east side library. Got some screenshots hopefully there useful information ?

It is helpful. What you posted shows you were connected to the new site being discussed above by Dean St/Williams Ave.

See bmoses post to you above from earlier tonight. The Nexus has a nasty habit of reporting LTE data from a past connection. Post a screenshot of your LTE engineering screen (there is a short cut straight from signal check pro).

 

Edit: In Pleasant Hill it is probable you actually have an LTE connection based on the new site, but an engineering screen would still be extremely useful.

Yep and now you see why you shouldn't use Sensorly on it.

Define completed towers? There a bunch of sites in Des Moines that have visible progress. We have no way of knowing where things stand beyond that though. Other things like testing and integration need to be done before a site is activated. We have no way of identifying the timeline there. That said,  odds are by the end of the year there will be significant progress.

This morning I updated my profile, prl, went into settings then apps and cleared the data on signalcheck pro. I have 4g in pleasant hill. Here are the signalcheck pro and engineering LTE screen shots.

      Definite usage quirks in hunting down these sites with a rainbow sim in a s24 ultra. Fell into a hole yesterday so sent off to T-Mobile purgatory. Try my various techniques. No Dish. Get within binocular range of former Sprint colocation and can see Dish equipment. Try to manually set network and everybody but no Dish is listed.  Airplane mode, restart, turn on and off sim, still no Dish. Pull upto 200ft from site straight on with antenna.  Still no Dish. Get to manual network hunting again on phone, power off phone for two minutes. Finally see Dish in manual network selection and choose it. Great signal as expected. I still think the 15 minute rule might work but lack patience. (With Sprint years ago, while roaming on AT&T, the phone would check for Sprint about every fifteen minutes. So at highway speed you could get to about the third Sprint site before roaming would end). Using both cellmapper and signalcheck.net maps to hunt down these sites. Cellmapper response is almost immediate these days (was taking weeks many months ago).  Their idea of where a site can be is often many miles apart. Of course not the same dataset. Also different ideas as how to label a site, but sector details can match with enough data (mimo makes this hard with its many sectors). Dish was using county spacing in a flat suburban area, but is now denser in a hilly richer suburban area.  Likely density of customers makes no difference as a poorer urban area with likely more Dish customers still has country spacing of sites.

      Mike if you need more Dish data, I have been hunting down sites in western Columbus.  So far just n70 and n71 reporting although I CA all three.

      Good catch! I meant 115932/119932. Edited my original post I've noticed the same thing lately and have just assumed that they're skipping it now because they're finally able to deploy mmWave small cells.
