Nicklocklin
little update maybe admin can confirm, apparently LTE and network vision is being delayed in this area by a little bit because of two main reasons. Vendors are taking their sweet time and Sprint is waiting to see whats going to happen with softbank.... i wonder if this is going to affect the launch nationwide

Deployment is on schedule regardless of the Softbank and Dish mess. In fact, deployment is now accelerating with every market being started by the three OEM's in the next few weeks. Backhaul may still be an issue but not much nowadays. Biggest issue is finding contractors to do the physical work.

There are already GMO sites in the Inland Northwest market that have received some upgrades. BillNickless
Hey coug, last week I saw someone up on a cherry picker working on the antennas at this location (link to Google Street View). You can't quite see it in the picture, but one of the fiber junction boxes on the fence around the base is labeled "Sprint".

It's possible the the 4G Core, or the Spokane MSC is not online or enabled for LTE yet. Once those things are complete, LTE should come online. By the way, there is only one tower complete in Spokane, the other two are in Pullman. And you have to be in range of one of these towers in order to connect to the signal. delta_y
I got some pics of a site on 16th and 8th street in Lewiston ID. http://www.flickr.com/photos/97569279@N05/9386023892/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/97569279@N05/9386022548/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/97569279@N05/9383240125/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/97569279@N05/9383237755/ These are the four antenna sets from top to bottom. In the top picture, is the middle antenna the 800 mHz LTE antenna?

In the top picture, is the middle antenna the 800 mHz LTE antenna? The top tier is Sprint, the middle antenna is more than just 800MHz, it's the PCS CDMA/EVDO/LTE and 800 CDMA/LTE antenna. Once it's fired up, the other two will be removed.

BillNickless
Last Friday the Richland WA site I posted about (above on 22 July) had trucks around it again. This time they were putting a conduit under the street working with a Frontier crew. New backhaul maybe?
forestdak
Just moved into the Spokane area from Utah. The deployment is definitely active around the Costco on Sprague off of I-90. Had about 8 dropped calls in the space of a 5 minute conversation. Other than some of that activity, I only get about 12 kilobytes at my new place, so I'm hoping for continued deployment. MrJessicaAlba
Any word? I've been checking in every day, nothing in the Tri-Cities, unless you count the 800 in Hanford. Getting really frustrating, I watched as Spokane made quick progress this Summer. When Spokane was "launched" as Spokane, leaving the rest of Inland Northwest off, I was really discouraged. I've had this Cadillac device for two years and 90% of the time I can't even get a text to go out with the suck service around here... I thought I would have retired the Airrave by now. Can't send or receive calls at work, or at my Daughter's sports, and I'd be screwed at home if the internet went out. I have been patient, a defender of Sprint because of all the promises of what was almost here, but I'm about done. I know, I know, just wait... this all new and awesome network is almost here, don't quit now. I feel like I'm throwing good money after bad, though. I doubt it will ever be even tolerable around here. So, any real word on when the Tri-Cities will see any LTE, someone talk me off this ledge? coug
Mr Alba, You're not alone... I'm still waiting and have been noticing a decline in performance over the last month or so. Every family member's contract is up in February, if not by then, well time to start shopping. By the way, big fan of your wife's work... natewin
So back at the beginning of September I posted that Sprint got some new building permits for towers in my town(Yakima, WA). Today LTE is active, most everywhere I have driven. I have found a couple spots with funny gaps, just drops off for a few blocks then back on. But speeds have been great highest seen was 22Mbps down and 7.6 up the slowest I got was 9.4Mbps down and 2.6Mbps up. So I am very excited so far. Only 2 months from permits to usable signal!!
