htabbach
This is not a question specific to Tucson but I arrived to Dallas today with my new iPhone 5S and although LTE is everywhere the speeds I have seen so far are anywhere between 400k and 4mb down and 200k and 4 mb up, I was sitting inside a restaurant and my LTE brought down 600k while my friend VZ brought down 23 MB, are these the speeds we should expect from Sprint? Not a rant but truly an honest question. Thanks

Sprint is deploying additional LTE carriers in three bands to improve speeds. Even Verizon speeds were plummeting below 1Mbps in many areas. They are deploying a second carrier now too. Thanks naw, I pull 23 down 6 up inside my home on the far east side and my friend on verizon gets less than 1 down 1 up, that's if he doesn't get the *network error* message. Verizon was getting really bad here too. But once they deployed AWS LTE, it improved. But it sure is nice when you can outperform the Verizon groupies. In some places, VZW LTE 750 is dog slow. FanOfSkynyrd
If its the one located on 3E and 40th. Sprint is located on the second tier; the top one is At&t. If the crews are working on the second tier, they might be making final adjustments to the antennas to go live. Same thing happened to the one on Atlantic Ave before it went live. The crews were adjusting the location of the antennas, then about a couple days later the site went live. It was not that tower then I saw the crews working on. It was the one a little further north (like 1/8 mile) off 3e, right by the little shopping center and Jack in the box and Chevron.

If its the one right across the street from that shopping center, then yes it is. Should be just on the other south side of the street on 40th street. There are two carriers on that site. Top one is At&t bottom one is Sprint.

FanOfSkynyrd
Sweet, they were definitely working on the second set of panels when i saw them. Heading over that way today for my kids soccer games, if it's transmitting 4g I'll try to get the engineering screen shots.

FanOfSkynyrd
Crews are still out working on that tower by the air station. Almost daily for the past week. Was out there yesterday, still no 4g but something was definitely up as I kept losing and regaining 3g connection.

Lateck
I have noticed a LOT of cell tower work in Yuma, for all carriers. The towers on Pacific & off of Riely have workers on them. (Not sure as to which panels they are working on). It is nice to be "Official" now..... Lateck,

They are working in a few towers simultaneously, including the one on Riley Ave. They have crews on that one, I8 and 10E, San Luis AZ, Gadsden, Somerton Ave and Co 12 1/2, and Ave C and 8th Street. Maybe that's why Sprint don't have anyone working locally, AT&T has them all employed. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk

That psych pass been 3g accepted with new NV panels for over a month. The bottom rack where the cres are working are the Sprint's NV panels.
