Sprint LTE Device Release Dates

Most of the devices I add are based on rumors. Anything I find that is certified for Sprint I add, but so far it's only based on model number sequencing from existing Sprint model numbers.

Any chance you could have the model number in one column and the model/"street" name if/when known in another?  This is mostly for historical look ups....we discuss/post using model numbers prior to release and then after release everyone tends to reference by model name.  Or, do what you have done for the Motorola X and LG G2 with the model number in parenthesis.

okay,

Added a few columns to the spreadsheet.

--1 additional column for the device/model number along side the device name.

--3 additional columns that have links (X's) that lead to either the device website either at the manufacturers, phonearenas, or Sprint website. (or all three)

The only model numbers i were not able to locate are for the

HTC 8XT, Novatel MiFi, Blackberry Q10, HTC One SV LTE,

The latest devices such as the Galaxy Mega, Galaxy Note 3, SPH-L520, LG820, LG D820 don't have official pages yet.

The same goes for all other devices beyond those listed with a NA as a year date.

Looking at the device list I don't see 800 voice.  Would all phones since 2012 support that?

Yes. Except the current blackberry on the market, all Sprint LTE phones support 800 voice. I elected not to include it on the table because it is a default feature, unless you are blackberry corporation. IMO, they failed the test.

IBT states that Sprint is getting the Note 3 on Oct 2nd but I can't help to think its too soon. Especially since it came from a rep but eh, I'll take the date.

A rumor at this point. I won't let it float yet. For now it's going to tread water.

A picture of the release data would satisfy my curiosity though. I mean, we have 4 phones that are so close to release, yet aren't. I'm sure it drives people crazy waiting.

Keep an eye out for a possible HTC One phone with WP8 on it. Pocket now was showing a pic of one with WP8 loaded on it, so maybe Microsoft and HTC were preparing for it already.

Added the ZTE-N9520 to the spreadsheet today. It's an unoriginal Single-Band LTE phone with SVLTE. My guess is that it's probably for Boost Mobile as the ZTE Warp LTE is the ZTE-N9510.

You can also update that the HTC one max was released on 11/15.

I'll 1 up you on that.

The Virgin Mobile HTC Desire was released today. It was formerly known as the HTC Zara, and it's official model number is the HTC Desire 601. It has been updated in the table too.

While all the crazy people were out shopping on Black Friday, Netgear (formerly Sierra Wireless) got FCC approval for a Tri-band Aircard, model number AC778S. It is a mobile hotspot too. It looks like 2014 could be shaping up to an interesting Sprint year. Stay tuned!

I wonder which one this one will replace in the Sprint lineup.

That's a good question. My guess it will just be in addition to the existing devices already in Sprint's lineup, or could potentially replace the MiFi.

    • Has anyone checked Verizon n77 in areas with more than 100MHZ active? This spectrum has been fully available since August of last year.  Of course they are not typically using SA.
    • I updated my other s21 ultra factory unlocked to the latest firmware... It behaves like the S24 Ultra n38 or n41 depending on 80 or 100MHz or their nr- arfcn.
    • I see everything correct. The two ARFCN's you mentioned earlier and they idenitify as n-41.  using 4.832b SCP. Only using one TM SIM.
    • I posted this in the Nebraska Premier thread last week, but just wanted to share in this thread the progress that T-Mobile has made in filling in the great coverage gap known as Nebraska. Between late last year and this year, they have added 28 new expansion sites filling in the coverage hole, plus 11 Sprint site conversions in eastern Nebraska and far western Iowa. Notably, in the last month n41 coverage was added on over a dozen expansion sites in western Nebraska that were added to the network last year. For comparison, here is the very first map that I created in October of 2022 after we noted expansion sites outside of Sprint conversion in Lincoln and Omaha. It doesn't show any western parts of the state, but just know there was nothing besides roaming coverage and a little B12 coverage leaking down from South Dakota to the west of Valentine, NE.
    • Sent a copy of my DB in an e-mail just now.  Couldn't leave the house today but can hopefully get a screenshot when I'm out on another cell site tomorrow.
