I am getting sector 214 very weak veterans @ Carrollton. I do not believe we have seen that yet. It is not the live oak one. Hmmm.

Looks like another new site.. You guys are making me jealous.

I went all the way to severn, so it is not the one near Causeway, so that leaves 3 other possible ones in Metairie. Could be the one off I610. I am using the MA4 leaked radio, and this thing is very sensitive. I was getting the Airline Hwy site on West Esplanade (though unusable).

Don't worry, we have seen so much work take place in the last 45 days, things will start going faster. On another note...without completely hijacking this thread, any idea why I can't get the 800 prl to write? I think I have tried everything...

EDIT: Finally got it. After about 20 reboots, I moved the file from the root directory, attempted write, then moved it back. Worked on the next write. FYI, also got the new 25012 PRL in the middle of all of this.

Sometimes it takes many reboots. I gave up one day after 6 tries. Tried the next day and it worked then first time. Glad to see you got it.

Keep an eye on that SID and see if it changes to a 224xx one. CDMA field test is quick way to check.

I can't seem to find any work though in our area besides the one site the other day. And no telling how long it has been like that.

One tid bit of help... 214 means you will be on the 2nd sector. So the site is probably west to North of you.

Im noticing a lot of lte in the westbank now good to see things moving better and quicker somehow. Actually does someone know.

It seems like everything on the westbank right now is coming from 2 towers here (3 if you're including Luling) with some random spots being lit up from the eastbank.

Yep, just two sites over here. Nothing out by me in westwego. Still. I think the NV panels are for decoration on my site. Been up four months now and still nothing.

Got some similar decorative panels and RRU's over here in Laplace. Biggest problem is they are literally visible right out my front door. So ever time I walk outside it is what I see. It is sort of frustrating I kind of wish I didn't know it was upgraded. I certainly wouldn't toggle airplane mode near as much.

You need a nandroid backup of a simple clean stock setup, just backup the current and hit restore.

Looks like we're starting to see the sites coming up a little bit faster now. Perhaps the rain delays pushed back the Superbowl LTE extravaganza by a couple weeks?

Probably, we would be further in the lte process if it wasn't for the delays. But I believe they are trying to catch up.

Thanks to a message from bigzeto stating he saw a new EVDO carrier downtown I checked my phone and it was flying. Sure enough I was on the new carrier too. I hope carrier 100 goes to die here or the tech fixed it.

Now does this mean they are delaying the LTE upgrade at this site since it got a legacy upgrade? This answers why I saw the ATT guy there yesterday though.

I can use my phone again at work... Woohoo! I have NEVER seen this here at this time of day. 1500/600! Just made my day if this sticks.

Yep, and the funny thing about it was that I had gotten really fed up this morning as I couldn't use my phone for work reasons, so I shot an email off to the ticket support guys in OK letting them know about the issue. I got a response back from a rep asking me for the ticket number. I let him know there was no open ticket, but that there have been multiple tickets opened on this site for various reasons. Within an hour or so, I noticed my phone had a lock on EVDO on channel 175. I'm not saying it had anything to do with my email, but it was pretty interesting with the timing.

I will say I am very excited about getting LTE here, but I am even more excited about having a reliable EVDO network.

Still kicking downtown on 175 this morning. Very very rarely do I catch a site achieving like this, it's usually a rural/edge coverage site where there are not that many customers. This is like having a 4G upgrade to me. Up from sub 100k and sometimes 0k not working. I'll take it.

    • Definite usage quirks in hunting down these sites with a rainbow sim in a s24 ultra. Fell into a hole yesterday so sent off to T-Mobile purgatory. Try my various techniques. No Dish. Get within binocular range of former Sprint colocation and can see Dish equipment. Try to manually set network and everybody but no Dish is listed.  Airplane mode, restart, turn on and off sim, still no Dish. Pull upto 200ft from site straight on with antenna.  Still no Dish. Get to manual network hunting again on phone, power off phone for two minutes. Finally see Dish in manual network selection and choose it. Great signal as expected. I still think the 15 minute rule might work but lack patience. (With Sprint years ago, while roaming on AT&T, the phone would check for Sprint about every fifteen minutes. So at highway speed you could get to about the third Sprint site before roaming would end). Using both cellmapper and signalcheck.net maps to hunt down these sites. Cellmapper response is almost immediate these days (was taking weeks many months ago).  Their idea of where a site can be is often many miles apart. Of course not the same dataset. Also different ideas as how to label a site, but sector details can match with enough data (mimo makes this hard with its many sectors). Dish was using county spacing in a flat suburban area, but is now denser in a hilly richer suburban area.  Likely density of customers makes no difference as a poorer urban area with likely more Dish customers still has country spacing of sites.
    • Mike if you need more Dish data, I have been hunting down sites in western Columbus.  So far just n70 and n71 reporting although I CA all three.
    • Good catch! I meant 115932/119932. Edited my original post I've noticed the same thing lately and have just assumed that they're skipping it now because they're finally able to deploy mmWave small cells.
