I live near cherry hill and I see LTE slowing moving toward cherry hill from Philly on Sensorly

This is the result of all the LTE towers coming online along I-95 in Philly...my Note 2 can carry LTE a solid 2 miles into New Jersey from both the Betsy Ross & Walt Whitman Bridges. I can't wait to see purple to start popping up on Sensorly in South Jersey & Delaware; I am getting spoiled by the blanket of LTE that now covers almost all of Philadelphia and immediate N&W suburbs. I have a feeling it will be a lot more consistent across the relatively flat terrain in SNJ/DE.

Central jersey is a big area I'm in the northern part of Middlesex county and haven't noticed signal fluctuation but some data interruptions in the past week, it seems every time after I have some sort of data issues the LTE on sensorly has gotten a bigger footprint so I assume there is a lot of NV happening here now!

Apologize for not answering your earlier question, it's nearly impossible to read every single post on the site (especially when they come it at 10-15 a minute at times).

Yes, NV work can cause signal issues. But most of the time, if you're seeing you signal bouncing around, it's because your phone is connecting to different sites in the area which then give you a different signal level. You can bounce around fairly quickly, giving it the appearance that your signal is freaking out.

yes it has been freaking out and it also went to 5 bars then no service then to roaming then it went back to native coverage i m getting better service where i literally got no service before like at work.

My signal has been pinned at 5 bars since I started having data issues in my home area. I'm thinking maybe new antennas are up but the backhaul is still a work in progress or being taken down periodically.

LTE spotted in South Brunswick:

y9rnVZs.png

I was picking up the signal all the way from the Regal Cinema in North Brunswick and immediately knew it was coming from the water tower in South Brunswick.

This is also where the screenshot was taken.

I didn't go any farther south but Rt 1 is straight all the way to Princeton from here so the signal must go pretty far.

Really?? And isn't there LTE down there which should mean there is NV. Maybe u r just on the fringe of towers down there, once 800 kicks on that might help

LTE is slowly creeping into my town, today I was sitting in the fruit store parking lot waiting for my wife and I see LTE light up no bars the nothing, o, back to 3G, this is of course after activating the actual sim card# that is in my phone, after finding out that was the reason my wife was getting it In other spots I wasn't. These techs must be ninjas cause they seem to be upgrading and I can never find them lol

    • I read the article, and I believe this shows the power of 2.5 when it comes to deployment of 4G/5G. When I am on 2.5 4G LTE, I consistently am between 75 to 140 MBs. That is already really good. If it was more widely deployed in Albuquerque, I am positive they would be speed kings. I am excited where Tmo could take this. I am a little jealous that I am in Albuquerque and not in a bigger city. Who knows. Tmo might have a plan in the next 18 to 24 months to push Massive Mimo on a lot of towers.
    • It kinda did.  Thanks for clarifying.   I, however,  still think Sprint needed to cash in the chips.   They have never been able to fully utilize the spectrum they had since the Nextel days and would probably ended up selling some of band 41 off  as Masa Son wanted to do.    They have been financially constrained big time for the last 8-12 years or more.  They have been a constant 3rd place or 4th since they began offering full scale cellular service in 1998 or so.   Growth and possible improvement all seem to point to having to merge to improve.  They did.      Perhaps,.... maybe now, the 2.5 G will get fully implemented to our delight and we'll all enjoy a much better network.    I don't even like to discuss this "should of been", "could of been" or "what if's"  ...I'm guilty of it myself!   It's just such a waste of time.   Lets move on and hope for better things to come.
    • They don't need a permit to swap from an 8T8R to a M-MIMO panel. That's why a lot of sites with KMW 16-port triband antennas have an inactive 8T8R next to them.  Any chance you were able to snag some photos of the site? If not, the mast is relatively low, and you can probably get good photos from the parking lot of Cedar Park Christian School.
    • If you saw how well Sprint 5G performs on current handsets you would not say that, no overheating, good battery life and solid network performance, in my opinion considering how little funding Sprint has gotten, it's very impressive how well they are performing from handset and network standpoint.  But alas; "Sprint sucks" is the mantra everyone has adopted and higher ups are good with that.  Just makes this merger thing that much easier to make happen if as many people as possible believe that.
    • I don't have a 5G phone, so I have no clue. I have seen sector IDs greater than 20 but not sure if that means anything besides the fact it is no longer triband. Interestingly, I can't find a permit for this change despite the fact the change is very recent.
