I really have to say that the folks at the Mayaguez Store are simply awesome. After getting my phone I enjoyed talking about college with them and it turn out that 3 of the employees working there had graduated from the University of Puerto Rico. Its so rare these days to get service like this.

Any GS3 owners here that want to try a PRL for LTE testing? It will work with the evo lte as well if you do the airplane toggle dance.

 

The current PRL doesn't look like the PR geo is LTE enabled.

How is that NOT good? That is almost 2mbps and 1mbps up on a 3G connection. You are not going to get much more than that in real world conditions. Hell you have a weak signal at -106 too

I'm asking myself the same question. This is 3g which is giving you good speeds already...

I sure hope this was lost in translation. Those 3G speeds are in the 99% percentile for the Sprint network.

Lots of towers updated this week in PR. The biggest number of towers upgraded so far. Nothing about LTE yet though.

I think they are updating everysite in the island before they start the metro area. But I dont think we should have to wait more than a month or two before every site in PR gets updated.

I wonder if when they mark towers as done with 3G, does that really mean that they are done or is this some preliminary completion the they then need to go back to the towers to finish?

I think its supposed to be finished, Robert mentioned it before, it means accepted by Sprint and no need to go back to the tower unless they need troubleshooting something.
