LTEBrooklyn
Really? You've been on this site for how long and are a sponsor, and you're still saying that? What part of it don't you believe?
lilotimz
What part of it don't you believe? The fact you make such a definitive statement when you have absolutely no proof to back it up whereas every premier sponsor does.
LTEBrooklyn
YUP! Backlogged, had no idea 800 was so widespread already... Have yet to get 800 yet on the IP5S
LTEBrooklyn
The fact you make such a definitive statement when you have absolutely no proof to back it up whereas every premier sponsor does. The post was made in sarcasm. If I would've wrote 2020, instead of 2015, then maybe you would've understood. I simply was stating that sprint is not moving very fast in My opinion. That's all I'm saying. I wasn't saying anything definite. Sheesh
Rawvega
Have yet to get 800 yet on the IP5S 800 SMR is on a lower priority than PCS on iPhone PRLs. As long as you have a 1900 MHz signal it won't switch over to 800.

And in a place like NYC, it is very hard to get zero CDMA 1900 signal. Robert
Cubbiefan82
Besides the subway, which that is another topic. That project of getting service in the tunnels is going to take longer then network vision probably lol

Besides, you'll still roam on Verizon on the platform so there's no point in worrying.

Robert Once you leave Manhattan, and start going into Queens or Brooklyn, cell spacing becomes noticeable and you see signal strength diminish. I think that's where 800mhz will come into play.

I work in a school so I'm at ground level, but I've had to attend trainings and meetings on the 40th+ floor of some buildings and service up there can be horrible. There's usually great uptilt but not everywhere.

There's usually great uptilt but not everywhere. Usually those higher floors are served by different cell sites than the ones which hit the ground floors. Often times, you can walk around Manhattan and see the antenna panel alignment depending on what buildings they want to hit.

Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk I got LTE but it was from outside. It was a weak signal of about -115dbm. And also no 1x800. It was eHRPD though. My friend on T-Mobile had 0 bars. Another person's Verizon LTE on their GS3 kept dropping out. And mine stayed steady on 3G throughout the game with -85dbm signal. No text or call problems either.

Yes, I pick up 800 all the time, But keep in mind, if you don't need to be on 800, it will not necessarily connect to it.

I thought it was preferred over the 1900? (I have s3). Sometimes when I go into a building and am losing signal it flashes to full bars but then switches to roaming, I was wondering if it was connecting but then dropping the 800 for some reason...
