Just tried out T-Mobile for laughs (Test Drive, which is a kind of cool attraction.)  Anyways, I've come to the conclusion that Sprint is better here, coverage-wise.  I'd rather have a reliable method

I'm safe. Sprint holding up well. 4.5 million without power. The eye of the storm coming straight for Marion county with 100mph winds. I hope I have a home to go to when this is over.

19 sites accepted for the Jax market can't wait to get home to see which ones.

 

Half of them were already on the maps since the last update. But the other half are new.

I need to check around more. I can't wait until Philips Hwy is covered in LTE.

 

Also - My cousins in Starke get LTE before my house. LOL! Now they have bragging rights. :(

It's spreading. I am just out of reach where I live. hope they can boost it a bit more because I can get it if I walk about a block from my place.

Pretty insane speedtest I got tonight at around Racetrack Road/San Jose Blvd area. Pretty insane that my iPhone on LTE has a faster connection to the internet than it does at home on my Comcast cable modem.

The Creekside site has turned on and now I get a decent signal in my work parking lot and at home. On Cyanogen mod ROM 10.1, when you're connected to LTE, the status bar signals reflect lte connectivity rather than cellular connection. My average or should I say, steady signal at home is -93dBm with ~44 asu. Signal must be good because I pull around 20mbps at home. Not much use, since I off load on WiFi though. My work though, I get around 5mbps. I think the signal there is around -112 dBm or so. LTE connectivity is definitely stronger than my EvDo signal is at home (even converting rssi to rsrp. It must be the new panels and RRUs being mounted on the back. :P

Almost forgot...this is in the best spot of my home, upstairs by the window. :P

 

Must be nice my home tower has been in progress for months now. I haven't seen any activity but Jacksonville deployment as a whole is starting to speed up.

Panels were added approx Jan 28th. Came online March 1st. Not sure if that's relevant to other sites completion but I thought I'd throw that figure out there.

 

Very impressed. Everywhere I go on cr 210 now is 4g lte covered...except for the Burger King. :P

There's no panels no work has been done as far as I know.

:( the site by Julington creek bridge (just south of it), had panels on it for approx 2 months before it went live. I think back haul might play the largest factor at the moment.

The one on 441 at night reaches about 32 mbps down and 12 upload on speetest.net app especially at the mcdonalds across the street from the tower

3G is getting better no doubt, almost 2mb on speed test in the house,...what a change from the .1 mb that I had to endure for the past couple of months....however 26mb in the house gets me jealous never had that other even on Comcast. Hope Sutton Lakes gets covered pretty good, Wimax is decent....wife still has the evolution 4g

      Definite usage quirks in hunting down these sites with a rainbow sim in a s24 ultra. Fell into a hole yesterday so sent off to T-Mobile purgatory. Try my various techniques. No Dish. Get within binocular range of former Sprint colocation and can see Dish equipment. Try to manually set network and everybody but no Dish is listed.  Airplane mode, restart, turn on and off sim, still no Dish. Pull upto 200ft from site straight on with antenna.  Still no Dish. Get to manual network hunting again on phone, power off phone for two minutes. Finally see Dish in manual network selection and choose it. Great signal as expected. I still think the 15 minute rule might work but lack patience. (With Sprint years ago, while roaming on AT&T, the phone would check for Sprint about every fifteen minutes. So at highway speed you could get to about the third Sprint site before roaming would end). Using both cellmapper and signalcheck.net maps to hunt down these sites. Cellmapper response is almost immediate these days (was taking weeks many months ago).  Their idea of where a site can be is often many miles apart. Of course not the same dataset. Also different ideas as how to label a site, but sector details can match with enough data (mimo makes this hard with its many sectors). Dish was using county spacing in a flat suburban area, but is now denser in a hilly richer suburban area.  Likely density of customers makes no difference as a poorer urban area with likely more Dish customers still has country spacing of sites.

      Mike if you need more Dish data, I have been hunting down sites in western Columbus.  So far just n70 and n71 reporting although I CA all three.

      Good catch! I meant 115932/119932. Edited my original post I've noticed the same thing lately and have just assumed that they're skipping it now because they're finally able to deploy mmWave small cells.
