Network Vision/LTE - Jacksonville Market (including Gainesville/St. Augustine/Ocala)

Yes, it does. I can finally get on Instagram near the mall and actually be able to load and watch videos. It makes a HUGE difference.

Let's see that speed test!

All my speedtest on 10x10 sites are relatively low. Maybe the sites are under heavy load when I'm testing.

I rarely see one over 10mbps in daylight but a lot of them are 5 mbps.

I've tried to upload a Speedtest pic before but it doesn't work. The best I've seen today is 10 up and 10 down.

Still better than less than 1mbps like I've been getting for the past 2 years. Idk what happened back then but before that bad storm I could always get at least 8-10 down. This is the best it's been since then.

It's usually a cluster launch. I wonder how wide spread it is.

Yeah me too. I'll check when I get to my girlfriends house cause it was worse there than at my spot by the mall.

YouTube TV is now available in Orlando Melborne and Daytona and Miami stations. Lucky for me Ocala is apart of Orlando and Daytona stations

I tried using DIRECTV now for a year and toward the end it really started acting up. After I canceled I found out their app was having issues with the Fire tv stick.

I ended up signing with ATT for tv and fiber internet.

Direct tv now would be a good option if it had dvr

Got to my girls place and unfortunately I'm still on B26 over here which is literally right by I75. Oh well she has wifi. Still was on B25 10x10 when I entered the complex but at her building it's very slow B26.

B26 CA is necessary.

No B41? If there was that spot would likely qualify for the magicbox.

Gainesville only has 2 band 41 towers in the county. Just like Ocala only has 1. Way behind in North Florida.

Though CA isn't possible on b26, or anything below 1ghz really.

Not true. Verizon, At&t and T-Mobile all use 700mhz CA.

Your confusing CA and MIMO. MIMO on low band is extremely difficult due to the size of equipment it would require.

I think what he is confusing is CA is not possible currently on 2 sub 1GHz carriers.  You can aggregate low band with a mid or high band carrier, but not two low band carriers together.

That's interesting, I figured eventually T-mobile would aggregate 600+700, but i guess that's not really possible.

Difficult? Yes. Impossible? No.

T-Mobile has a 4x4 MIMO deployed on their 700 MHz LTE on many sites across my market (dual antennas and RRUs). Additionally, high order MIMO lowband antennas are becoming more and more compact. CCI builds a really nice 8x8 midband and 4x4 lowband antenna that is only about 6 x 2 x 0.5 ft.

I was in the zip codes of 33993 and 33991 today and did some speed tests on speedtest.net
I got speeds of about .8 Mbps with peek rates of 1 Mbps. I tried to upload pictures but the uploader said files were to large but even though they were below the maximum file size

      Hello,

I've been following the network.sprint.com site and just in the past year in South Florida there have been over 700+ upgrades to towers in my area (Miami/Fort Lauderdale) with another like 400+ planned! I've been taking screen grabs and adding them up. I know we are on the second tier LTE launch list but could they be doing the upgrades now? I mean I have noticed the speed on my 3G shoot up from unbearable to quite fast in the past 6 months or so. Also the speed of 3G on my new EVO LTE is about double+ of that on my OG EVO! So are these just a lot of 3G upgrades, normal maintenance, Network Vision or new LTE cabinets? When I choose other cities from the drop-down list they have a quarter of the updates that the towers in my area are getting except for say New York, lol. I've tried 4G LTE on my new EVO LTE with no luck. I remember that before the 4G Wimax launch down here in some areas I could get Wimax on one or two towers in certain locations so I thought they might test like last time. Thanks for any answers in advance.

    • Another beta update to SignalCheck Pro is rolling out! Version 4.614b will appear on Google Play sometime over the next several hours. More 5G improvements, the accent color should be fixed, and several Samsung shortcut menus were added. Samsung users, please try all of the new shortcuts and let me know which ones are useful and what they lead to. Thank you!
    • No, unfortunately I haven't seen any useful 5G info from your phone (or anyone else's LG) yet. If you get a software update and happen to find 5G before they shut it down, please try reporting again! The accent color is still in its infancy and only appears on LTE for now. I've had it on my version of SCP for several weeks, initially I didn't think anyone else would like it. Figured I'd offer it up and see what the feedback was.
    • I accidentally broke the Samsung menus when I compiled the latest release; it will be resolved in next update.   Thanks, I'll look into that.. it's all a work in progress, glad we are making some headway!   The current display format is temporary, it is just to get the data displaying reliably.. once that happens, it will get its own "block" like the connection other technologies have.
    • I forgot to post this this morning. Seems that Sprint will offer the V60. My buddy at Sprint HQ says more will be said Monday. Lets see if this pans out.   TS out
    • Another suggestion, can you place the 5G info above the neighbor cell list? In dense urban areas with 5x CA there will easily be enough neighbor cells to push the 5G info off the screen. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
