So it was already done and no one said anything about it?

I saw a 8t8r being added to a site today. This is the first Sprint install I've seen in a while. In Jacksonville.

Oakleaf definitely needs some B41. I was at the Chili's in Oakleaf just the other day and B25 & B26 could barely load a webpage.

Hopefully this is the start of a full Band 41 rollout. The St John's Town Center and the River City Marketplace near the airport needs Band 41 and small cells.

About time Sprint actually gave the Jax market some much needed attention. I hope Gainesville, Ocala and St Augustine gets some of this. They need it.

There is definitely work going on in the area. My home Tower just got its Clearwire equipment replaced with Sprint 8t8r antennas.

Mini macros are an all in one BTS/RRU unit that has the power of a macro in the size of a small cell. They support a max of 2 B41 carriers and 2xCA.

Not sure. I can't see the tower from my house. At this particular site the Clearwire rack was on a tower about 100 yards from the B25 & B26 equipment rack. So I'm not sure if they consolidated or what.

The Clearwire site across from the Orange park Mall. Has some new panels attached directly to the pole above the Clearwire equipment. I wonder is it a mini macro equipment setup.

Hopefully they will add more band 41 down there. Seems like Sprint is targeting the high traffic sites. I wish Sprint would just blanket the city with Band 41 similar to how TMobile does with Band 4.

We have 2 sites thats are high capacity sites with 6 antennas instead of 3 and they are sub 1 mbps on every sector. Hard to believe but its true. We have 7 sites that are always sub 1 mbps on b25/26

I thought that those 6 panels site. The extra panel was for extra voice capacity. I always thought that was weird. I could be thinking of the wrong thing.

I was in the zip codes of 33993 and 33991 today and did some speed tests on speedtest.net
I got speeds of about .8 Mbps with peek rates of 1 Mbps. I tried to upload pictures but the uploader said files were to large but even though they were below the maximum file size

      Hello,

I've been following the network.sprint.com site and just in the past year in South Florida there have been over 700+ upgrades to towers in my area (Miami/Fort Lauderdale) with another like 400+ planned! I've been taking screen grabs and adding them up. I know we are on the second tier LTE launch list but could they be doing the upgrades now? I mean I have noticed the speed on my 3G shoot up from unbearable to quite fast in the past 6 months or so. Also the speed of 3G on my new EVO LTE is about double+ of that on my OG EVO! So are these just a lot of 3G upgrades, normal maintenance, Network Vision or new LTE cabinets? When I choose other cities from the drop-down list they have a quarter of the updates that the towers in my area are getting except for say New York, lol. I've tried 4G LTE on my new EVO LTE with no luck. I remember that before the 4G Wimax launch down here in some areas I could get Wimax on one or two towers in certain locations so I thought they might test like last time. Thanks for any answers in advance.
