Sprints coverage in Florida is really good. 3G is extremely rare unless forced even in rural. At least in central Florida.

I would not have gotten this performance on my old HTC One M8.  The Nexus 5x is great with Sprint's LTE.  Appears to hold onto B25/B26 a bit more.

Well, I went to the Landing last night. It was a packed house. Long story short Sprints band 41 performed wonderfully. Everything was running smooth as if no one was connected to the site at all.

Really hope Sprint gets NGN going soon. These speeds are everywhere South Jax.

Do you think it's worth reporting to the Network team?

I report it 3 times a week. Doesn't help at this point. Unless the tower is off they are going to make us wait til NGN. I don't see Ocala or Gainesville (really bad there) getting there first band 41 sites til May at the earliest. South Jax may have priority but its bad either way. Site density is good in both cities but capacity is done for. All other carriers have at least twice the capacity deployed in most of Florida but where Sprint does have a complete triband tower, they kickass. I wish I knew what percent of towers have band 41. I would guestimate 35% of all towers have band 41. If only Sprint had a way to get more pcs for a second carrier to hold Jax over. It's doing wonders in Orlando.

Seems like the first batch of Nokia panels went to downtown Jax.  Anything in the suburbs were put in phase 2.  Hope it's not May as it's been like this for about 8 months so far (when B26 first came live, I pulled 12-14mbps in the same spot.)  Most of the B41 sites in the areas I've seen though have been Clearwire conversions.  Within a 15 mile radius of where I work/my home, I've got 1 B41 site.

May is my guestimate for Ocala/Gainesville. I think Jax will be sooner probably February/March.

If you have a CA device and a non CA device compare the speeds. I get same speeds regardless in most situations there are a lot of towers in Orlando that actually had the increased speeds though. In Tampa it was the opposite also Tampa band 41 site density is nowhere near the level of Orlando's.

Damn. I had a family members iPhone 6 with me. Could've tried a test there. I was surprised I only got 14mbps though, on my N5x with CA enabled.

Drove by the same site but didn't stop. Phone never picked up B41 from the site. Camped on B25, then jumped to B26 when I continued driving out of range. When does it hop over to B41? CA should be live at that site so I'm just curious.

P.S. It's super painful seeing all of these permits in my area and none are Sprint's!!!

EDIT: I went back and read the first 10 pages or so of this thread. We were so excited for the first LTE site to come online on November 12th of 2012. LOL! I remember my home site getting LTE on March 1st 2013. Such good memories. Speeds were actually pretty good too when it first launched. The first LTE speedtest in this thread was almost 26mbps on November 13th, 2012.

The first tower to get LTE in Ocala was January 2013. I remember walking out side with my evo lte and seeing it at 11pm. I hunted it down using the maps on s4gru very fast then I checked the rest of the sites over a 2 day period. About 3 weeks later one closer to my house was upgraded but not close enough to be used in my neighborhood. Take barely any sites+Evo LTE which was a terrible rf performer+unoptimized site+1900mhz only=extremely limited coverage but I didn't care because it was the third carrier with LTE here. Metro was first but limited coverage and slow speeds, Verizon had over 60% of its towers upgraded at launch in May 2012 and its was good coverage and really fast. I rarely lose LTE on Sprint now since every tower in the county has band 25/26 but capacity is still a BIG issue in the city limits. Sprint is still the only carrier with capacity issues here but Sprint coverage is on par of not better than At&t and is definitely better than Tmobile on a whole. I will say tmobile has really strong signal in the city limits and not bad outside the city either but the other 3 carriers have way better rural coverage.

Honestly, I didn't expect it to be fast.  It's totally packed today.  Like you literally have to park across the street to get a spot now.  Good thing I do all of my Black Friday shopping online!

Got me a new AC5300 router, Madden NFL '16 for Xbox One, and the StarWars Steelbook saga for good prices. :D

I was in the zip codes of 33993 and 33991 today and did some speed tests on speedtest.net
I got speeds of about .8 Mbps with peek rates of 1 Mbps. I tried to upload pictures but the uploader said files were to large but even though they were below the maximum file size

      Hello,

I've been following the network.sprint.com site and just in the past year in South Florida there have been over 700+ upgrades to towers in my area (Miami/Fort Lauderdale) with another like 400+ planned! I've been taking screen grabs and adding them up. I know we are on the second tier LTE launch list but could they be doing the upgrades now? I mean I have noticed the speed on my 3G shoot up from unbearable to quite fast in the past 6 months or so. Also the speed of 3G on my new EVO LTE is about double+ of that on my OG EVO! So are these just a lot of 3G upgrades, normal maintenance, Network Vision or new LTE cabinets? When I choose other cities from the drop-down list they have a quarter of the updates that the towers in my area are getting except for say New York, lol. I've tried 4G LTE on my new EVO LTE with no luck. I remember that before the 4G Wimax launch down here in some areas I could get Wimax on one or two towers in certain locations so I thought they might test like last time. Thanks for any answers in advance.
