It will change for the better and in a big way. I happen to live in an area that has been upgraded to Network Vision with 4G LTE.

The results are amazing. Much Much better than I ever expected. It is worth waiting for. It just is too big of a project to complete real fast.

in what area in Vegas has upgraded, am far north of Vegas and signal is bad.

Yeah, what area in Vegas has been upgraded? I would drive there just to sit beneath the tower and bask in the glow of the wonderful goodness that is LTE. Seriously though, I have heard 2013 a few times but I haven't seen Vegas on any of those network deployment announcements. Did I miss one?

Guys, I do NOT live in Vegas, but I do visit there quite often. I really never had a complaint, but I realize the problems getting a signal into some of the Casinos and Hotels and accept it. Be assured, when Sprint does attack Las Vegas and you start to see the results, you will be amazed.

None of Las Vegas has been upgraded. That poster was referring to an area outside of Las Vegas. The updates for Las Vegas should start sometime in the first few months of 2013.

Vegas hasn't started yet, but even authorized retailers are being told that work will start in Q1 13. And if history with Alcatel Lucent is any indication, 3G work will be done first with 4G coming online beginning in Q2 13. Be patient, it's coming. Only a few more months to go before we start seeing LTE in the Vegas area!

Anyone in Vegas live near the Christ Lutheran Church on North Torrey Pines by the 95 Freeway? I want someone to take pictures of it and post so we can see if they have started work in the area. Thanks!

Just got word the first five sites in the Vegas market were accepted today. All were 3G only, so far. No surprise considering this is a AlcaLu market. They are currently In Progress on the Sponsor maps.

Work just started in the Las Vegas market. The first 3G sites have just been this week. The 1st LTE sites should start coming online in the Spring time if all goes according to plan. An unofficial launch may happen by June or sooner, but it will take a while for the market to be complete. As soon as you have a 4G LTE signal, please post a screen shot of the Field Test screen, dial *3001#12345#* and look up the LTE section that displays the Physical Cell ID so that we can dispatch someone with an Android phone to map it on Sensorly. The next few months are an exciting time for the Vegas Market.

Sounds like a switch problem. I was in Vegas on December 11th and had no problem.

Was in Vegas over the weekend and for the most part signal was good around the center of the strip. Going to the South Point though, i lost signal a few times.but it wasn't as bad as it used to be.

Las Vegas folks, this is what you are looking for:

The Alcatel Lucent Antennas are circled in red! This pic was taken from the tower at Tropicana and Eastern.

If you see any other towers in the Vegas area with these antennas, post pics and the closest cross streets.

And for those that want to become Sponsors to find out which towers have received build permits and where they are located, the link is here.

Imagine having to live with this unbelievably bad 3G day after day in Vegas, when you have an LTE capable phone just waiting for that LTE to kick in. I see this other post that says it should start kicking in by Spring. We shall see. I can imagine when these lucky people, you know those from Podunk USA population 25 that already have LTE come to Vegas on vacation and find they are stuck on really slow 3G. So much for uploading and sharing those photos quickly LOL. Well here's hoping MacinJosh is correct, that would be a good thing.

In the Sponsor section, we have maps of sites permitted, In Progress and already completed with initial upgrades in the Las Vegas market. Work is already well underway in this area.

I was just in Vegas the other day and data was screaming fast on 3G! I was getting speeds of up to 2Mbps download all over the place, like Summerlin Pkwy and Buffalo, the 215 and Tropicana. Work has been underway and is continuing to do so! I'm hoping for a ramp up in production soon!

The Sprint site at Boulder Highway just north-west of Nellis was approved by the Clark County Building commission yesterday. Is anyone near there that can take pictures and post them here? It's right next to the Long John Silvers on the west side of Boulder.

    • I posted this in the Nebraska Premier thread last week, but just wanted to share in this thread the progress that T-Mobile has made in filling in the great coverage gap known as Nebraska. Between late last year and this year, they have added 28 new expansion sites filling in the coverage hole, plus 11 Sprint site conversions in eastern Nebraska and far western Iowa. Notably, in the last month n41 coverage was added on over a dozen expansion sites in western Nebraska that were added to the network last year. For comparison, here is the very first map that I created in October of 2022 after we noted expansion sites outside of Sprint conversion in Lincoln and Omaha. It doesn't show any western parts of the state, but just know there was nothing besides roaming coverage and a little B12 coverage leaking down from South Dakota to the west of Valentine, NE.
    • Sent a copy of my DB in an e-mail just now.  Couldn't leave the house today but can hopefully get a screenshot when I'm out on another cell site tomorrow.
    • 76MB Google Play System update after that, bringing the date up to 3/1 from prior 2/1 date.
    • April security patch is already out - 738.30 MB download.
    • What do you see with the latest alpha/ beta version?
