plada2315
Jusy drove past this intersection again (Sunday @ 6:15 PM) and they are still out there working. Highly unusual- they have been up to something all weekend and seem to be in a huge hurry to get something done. Signal has been on all weekend and haven't noticed anything unusual with it. Should ask them and see if they will give you any info
Mikeclar
Unfortunately it's not an easy place to get to, it's at the back of a large empty field.
TechEric
Yes, Yes it is. But to be fair when I go to Morro Bay I can usually connect my phone to my laptop using PDAnet and I can stream Netflix with no issues and I usually get close to 2MBPS down on my Note 2. Not sure why it's so strong on 3G there but sucks here sometimes

When U-Verse Internet is capped at 3Mbps where I am at, and I can't have UVerse TV, it's bad, really bad.

Esparza_559
Sprint rep that was at radio shack yesterday told us that Visalia will see lte in February but didn't give any other info
TechEric
This is going to be an exciting time for this Galaxy Note 2 owner, 4.3 update released today, LTE in 8-12 weeks (hopefully). I'm just hoping it's not hyperbole and Sprint can deliver on everything they have said and makes it where I do not need to have an AirRave anymore in my house. Thanks again for all the hard work everyone who posts here, it's great to have an all in one resource for this.

aelenes
I checked Sensorly and LTE shows up on their map in parts of Mendota, Tulare, Pixley and Tipton
Oedipus
Yeah that would be about right. I was down in tulare last Friday and at least one of the sites was offline entirely, but lte is definitely present there and in the other areas you mentioned. Unfortunately, as of late I haven't seen any new tower activity anywhere in my spheres of travel.
rufder1
Is it just an upgrade for 3g or is this going to be the start of LTE in Fresno?
Mikeclar
I would think both. They've definitely installed new hardware on the tower nearest my house, so hoping for good things soon but.... been waiting quite awhile.
Oedipus
If Sprint is going to do a cluster launch in Clovis and the Clovis addresses in Fresno county, there's four sites off the top of my head that are holding things up; Two out near Clovis East, one near Home Depot on Shaw, and one near the rodeo grounds. The city of Fresno is a long ways off, by the looks of things.
Mikeclar
at this point it would be nice if they would bring on what they could and then finish the rest as it gets done but that's just me.
rufder1
I agree. Many people have been waiting a long time for this
lilotimz
at this point it would be nice if they would bring on what they could and then finish the rest as it gets done but that's just me. That was the plan but then eCFSB gaps came to light and was recognized by Samsung during june-july time frame. Everything got thrown out the window as they raced to finish as many sites as possible so that Sprint subscribers can actually use triband devices which were imminent (S4 Mini and Mega had passed through FCC and LG G2 + Nexus 5 shortly afterwards). Acceptance testing takes many hours to do by inspectors / technicians that could be spent on converting another site. Peak conversion rates have been in effect since September and major cluster launches have been happening in many Samsung markets. Most markets appear to have a December - January time frame to get sites up and running at least on the 3G side. The holiday season is upon us along with winter and they have to get this sorted out for the winter sales.
bjarabian
That Firebaugh speed is pretty bad, considering all of three people must be conected with LTE to that tower Also, why no sensorly? I tried to turn Sensorly on and record/map but the app would not let me. It gave me an error. Once I was back in 3G land it worked perfect again. cmdr_keen
Can't wait to get LTE in Fresno and Bakersfield. Had these speeds in Pixley. http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/i/681104281 I was visiting friends in Pixley yesterday and pulled similarly awesome results: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/a/657807884 28Mbps down? bjarabian
Did the Lower Central Valley contractors go on strike? It seems like nothing has been happening for a couple of weeks.
